A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi guys , so glad i found this site.I need help with a 81 gs1100e street/strip build.last two bikes were 07 gsxr 750 and 07 gsxr 600 , both were very simple to add power and performance.iv been reading lots on this gs1100 and want to be able to pull newer 600s.so far only pods and jetted. Im looking for a 4-1 exhaust leaning toward yoshi , thinking of going -1 in front spocket and +2 rear.im reading up on 88/89 gsxr 750 head swap .any knowledge really appreciated.what are best mods i can do ? I really enjoy the shop time working on bikes. Id be really happy to have a streetable 10 sec toy... thanks guys

You're not that far - I think yours ET'd at 11.1 when new. Two years later, in '83' the model with the fairing (ESD?) was Cycle World's first bike to break into the tens with a 10.99.

Some 1150 drop in cams might wake it up a little. If you hot rod it much with that small end crank and webs unwelded, I've seen them break and or twist the LH crank end.Twist them out of index etc..High volume oil pump gears help,H.D. clutch basket H.D.clutch nut ...Head work is about 70% increase depending. Those 600's are quick. I would recommend a rev limiter. Might save the whole show.Try not to decell under a load.Pull the clutch and chop the throttle.Save that crank end..Good luck.We out ran several current 750"s at the shop with a slightly modified 1150 Pulls like a tractor lol.Peace

My son had a gsxr600, I could just barley stay ahead of him to bout 100mph.
I have the small chain conversion, up 1 tooth on rear. Pods, header, filter charger jet kits,g3 cams, 1166 kit. I limit my rpm to 9k. It has lots of bottom. Mine weighs 499lbs with 1/2 tank fuel. Good luck.
