A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

i cannot wait to see how awesome this bike is gonna look, great job!

Had plans to work on the bike today but had to convert the garage back into a parking spot for the van. We are under high risk for tornado outbreak today. They are saying we will have hail today as well. Hoping that doesn't happen. Things are looking pretty sporty for this afternoon.

Watching the Weather Channel it looks like the apocalypse is happening in our area this afternoon. They have us at a 9 out of 10 on the Torcon scale.

Fingers crossed your garage can convert back due to a false alarm... we get hurricanes as opposed to tornadoes (although not typically where I am) and I know they can do some serious damage...

We missed it, but barely. Tornadoes all around us. Watched some pretty crazy clouds come through our area today. It's never good when Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel and Reed Timmer from Storm Chasers is in your neck of the woods.

Pete I know hurricanes all to well. I grew up in Northwest Florida and have been through my fair share.

I hate tornadoes.

Tomorrow I will reclaim the garage as Suzuki land. ;)

I did manage to soak some bolts in Simple Green today. Does that count?

Mate any work even remotely related counts :D

And I should've said cyclones not hurricanes... no idea where I got that from... very glad it missed you though!

Spent yesterday polishing the remaining cases and sorting the Z1 stainless bolt kit. Polishing took most of the day but I am happy with the results.

Today I got the head cover installed with the new Real Gasket. Still exchanging the breather gasket for the right one with Real Gasket. Used thread sealer on all of those bolts and torqued them down 1/2 turn past finger tight. Almost started a riot in the 4 Cylinder Engine Forum in the process. Hah!

That's one of the reasons I love this site.

All new OEM gaskets on the cases. Oil pan, clutch cover, points cover, stator cover, and starter cover. New filter on the cam chain tensioner as well. New o-ring for the filler cap and the oil filter cover.

The only hiccup I had was after installing the stator cover looking down and seeing the starter and starter gear.:evil::pray::rolleyes: Off it came and back on again.

I used ample anti-seize on all stainless bolts minus the head cover bolts. Put the new oil filter in and snapped a few pictures to prove all that I have said.

Forgot....I also installed a new Rick's Motorsports stator with new stator screws in the case.

Just keeping a record of everything for posterity's sake. :D
