A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Drag bars, bob job on fenders, seat, pipes (optional), head light, tail light, shed all excess weight, ect.

Bob Job???

Bob Job???

What does this mean..shorten the fenders or remove completely?

I think cafe's are way cooler when made out of the small displacement bikes...therefore, you NEED to trade your 1100 for my old GN400, and do a cafe out of that. And don't worry about the difference in value of the bikes, you don't need to pay me anything.

Glad I could help.

:-D

hahaha. i would like a cafe style 1100. i plan to make my 1000 cafe-like.

i wont shorten the fenders but i will keep it all low profile and sleek looking... probably no turn sigs or bags or windshield. i hate all that big ugly stuff....

I have never ridden without a front fender. Is it bad in the rain or when roads are wet ?

Mike

Mike to find out what it's like: Get in your rain suit, wear your helmet and sit on the bike. Have a couple of family members or friends each with a garden hose spray you from the front and back. It's about that bad. No jive.

you might want to ride around a bit on a few cafe setups, if you haven't already. i find most very uncomfortable for anything other than ripping around town, lightly. with bars hitting the tank, bad seats, a stiff back, debris hitting you in the knees... but you could do a better job than the old CBs we ride around out my way

nothing against the idea; i too enjoy a good cafe! nice, simple motorcycles that are serious fun to beat on from bbq to bbq in the summer, IMHO
