A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I'd look again. Thinking there's got to be a hole in the tip. it's a quite tiny hole, probably smaller than your safety wire. Even with a non stopped up one, the hole is small enough I need to hold it up to light to see if I can see light through it.

Agreed, safety wire is likely too large. I can only get about two strands of a brass bristle brush through them when cleaning. Then carb cleaner should shoot out of the end when sprayed, more out the end than even the side holes. Might be a good idea to just order some new stock size ones if you can't get them clear.

I don't disagree on the pilot jets, used to race TZ250's way back in the day and I've changed more that a few out tuning the bike.

Safety wire went thru the new pilots that came in the crappy kit with plenty of room. When I get back to CA closer to the holidays I'll shoot some photos for y'all to be able see what I'm seeing. But all 4 jets that were in the carb prior to rebuild have the same capped top.

I'm keeping track of parts, prices, and sources that I keep in a Google Sheet along with a few photos that I've taken here and there along the way on Drive as a build diary/log of sorts.

Was mindlessly watching the idiot box last night flipping back and forth between the playoffs and a "car tv" channel, and this cat was on talking about a 50 Chevy pickup truck build that this family was doing, and he threw out that he was going to send them his "Deluxe Project Planning Book" -> https://www.staceydavid.store/products/project-planning-book.

I found an online Excel Sheet for car projects that broke down each major area, motor, front suspension, etc into tabs and then tracked work, hours of projected effort, % complete, parts, amount spent, shipping, etc for each tab/section. But no diary or log of "I did these things today, found these weird things, solved this problem, etc"

Thinking that tracking both effort/parts/prices as well as a log would be good to have on hand, and for the next person to own the bike. Having receipts is one thing, but a log like this feels kinda next level.

Anybody doing this? If so, any tips?

I kept a diary soon after I got back on 2 wheels with my 11EZ in 2013. Every day I rode or worked on the bike, I listed date, mileage, etc.
