Hey Guys. so i have been wprking on this bike for awhile now and i finally got her started yaa!
But now i seem to have another problem. lol It seams that oil is leaking out of cylinder #2.

I'm new to the whole bike thing heres my thoughts:

Piston rings are shot allownig oil into the combustion chamber

Valve seal is worn out letting oil in?

Any ideas guys has any one seen this before?
Thanks.

leaking out?

Can you describe that better?

Liquid oil is running down the motor?

Bike smokes on start up?

Well I guess it could be the valve cover i just did and used the ld gasket just to see if it would run. it kinda looked like it was coming out of the exhaust but there wasnt any blue smoke blowing out so..

Hmmm now i'm thinking. its kinda hard to tell because the oil is fresh haha
I will have to check again!

Big T have you seen oil leak out of the exhaust before?
It's possible that it is just running down the VC

Thanks

Never seen it out of the exhausts (at the front?) -virtually impossible

Clean off the motor, spray it with talc powder and run it for a minute or two - that will confirm the oil source

The valve cover is often the cause of leaks. So is the tach cable drive

On my T when it was leaking oil the source was the two front head bolts that are sealed with o rings. The PO tried to silicon them as the seals had gone bad. I originally thought that the cause was the head gasket as oil was all over the front of the engine. Along with the tach and valve cover this should be considered as well after these have been ruled out.
