A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well.....as much as I want to keep her stock my bike has pretty much told me she wants upgrades. After the 3200 mile trip, started to notice a few things going wrong. Pinhole leaks in the stock exhaust, cutting out around 6-7k, airbox bracket broke off, light show in the dark under my tank. Started to get the cut out and light show under the tank, checked the coils and yep....bad out of tolerance and wires failed insulation resistance check. Had a friends son who has a welder try and spot some of the pinholes in the exhaust... too much rust too many holes...get a new exhaust. As for the airbox, driving down the road and heard something fall off the bike.. the support bracket on top of the airbox ripped out and fell off - don't ask me how, I don't know, so pods it is. I am going to find a way to merge the chrome side pieces with the side covers(like on the 650) to keep the crosswinds out, either that or make a mold and fiberglass new covers with the additional piece. After discussion with another GS owner, I decided to just replace the coils and wires with Dyna's and not do the full Dyna 2000 conversion, I don't race...didn't see a need to go all out on it. Going with the Delkevic COM27B7 4-1 exhaust, APE pods and the Dynojet 3306 kit.

Already installed the coils, noticeable difference, runs smoother no cut out. Once I get the other kits, will have to do a full tune to get her back to a smooth running angry sewing machine. Anyone else do the same upgrades to an 850? My engine guard is welded on at the top, will probably have to cut it off for the Delkevic. How do I forget to keep taking pictures of this stuff..

Ya, but I need a new exhaust anyway, just going to do the full swap. Figure if I needed to jet the carbs just go all out.
