A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey folks, been on here a while but yet to post any pics of my GSX. It's a bit of a nail to be fair (but that's how I like 'em). So here's a few pics to give you an idea of how unkind the years have been - or previous owner!

I've also been documenting everything on my blog so far. http://biketech7.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/gsx750es-cafe-racer.html

Yup, she's been well looked after! :) Bent forks, plugs cross threaded, corrosion, sun damage - and that's just the good bits.

This site has been great for all the advice, manuals etc. Keep it up!

Thanks, yes I've been right through your GSX thread. She's a beauty. Mine won't be original I'm afraid, but hopefully will look half about.

You make the bike your own, and no one will fault you for that....

If it's done nice and done correctly, it should be good for all to appreciate...

Cheers

Bought mine new in '83. This is kinda how it looks now, it's in pieces again as i type this.

Mine with a 1150 wheel conversion..

jwhelan65 I know you post about your GS750ES to the 1150 wheel conversion is old, but I sure have some questions I'd like to ask you. I have the same bike, mine is Silver Blue, and I purchased it new. I am interested in doing this conversion, but there's so little out there on it. Any response would be appreciated. :)

See the blank nothingness under jwhelan65'w avatar? This means this person in no longer a member.

Thank You VERY MCU for that link!! I read the whole thread, and copy and pasted all th pertinent info into a text file.

One thing I do disagree with. I have ridden GS750ES's with the anti dive working (they work on my bike, have since new, it's amazing having a bike that does not dive when you hit the brakes) and I have ridden them where there was either air in the line, or rust, and the systems needed complete maintenance or build. I have ridden them removed. I would never remove these from my bike. They work as good as new, and GS750ES with emulators, and the anti-dive just bypassed dip when braked, and become like all the other bikes out there.

I wanted to see if there was some way of getting Radial tires on my old lady, but this way won't do it. So, again, I've come to the conclusion that the bike has given me incredible joy since they 1983, when I purchased it new. My ZZR1200 will have to do with the Radial Tire experience. Great reading. The bullshlt fighting and lack of moderation and self control reminded me why I left this forum around that time. It's a much more pleasant forum now. Again, Thank You for taking the time to find those links for me, That was extremely kind of you. ;)
