A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi everyone,

Helping a friend get this 84 GS750E going. The tank was removed to clean the carbs and we need to figure out were all the lines under the tank run to.

If someone could help us out that would be great.

Petcock has 2 outlets, 1 small one -pulse ? running to the front of carb #2
1 larger one - main gas line? running to the back of carb #3

Right side of gas tank, 1 smaller outlet, is this just a vent line?

Center of tank, vent line?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

If you have any pics to show were everythings goes that would be great.

Great site :)

Small hose goes between the front-facing vacuum fitting on the petcock and vacuum fitting on carb 2; large hose goes between the large rear-facing port on the petcock and the gas inlet fitting behind carb 3. The petcock is vacuum activated. Prime is straight gravity flow. Run is diaphragm activated using engine vacuum.

The fuel guage sending unit has a vent line...likely this is the one you find coming from the right side of the gas tank.

Not sure about the 'center of the tank' one...could it be the crankcase vent line which comes off the top of the valve cover and goes to the front center top of the air box? With the tank on the bike it would look like it is coming from the center of the tank.

There should also be two vent hoses coming from the rear of the carbs.

The line from the center of the tank is the overflow drain line for the tank. Make sure it goes far enough down that you don't get gas on a hot engine part when refueling.
