A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

'95 gsx750 katana exhaust upgrade options

Forum Mentor
Just got this katana and the stock 4:2 mufflers look dated (& just cornball). Yea, I know I bought an old bike and so should complain but what are my options for a 4:1 with a nice throaty loud sound?? I would like to leave the stock airbox and jetting unless there is good reason to change that too (I run pods and pipes on my 70's and 80's bikes but this 1995 machine looks like a space ship to me and not to be tampered with). I figured there might be other model bikes with oem 4:1 pipes that might work or at least a pair of aftermarket muffs if I can't get a 4:1 pipe...

If you pipe it you are going to have to put a jet kit in it , plan on a dynojet kit

IF the 1100 header fits (?) , THIS 4-1 looks like a OK deal a little beat up...could be cleaned up and coated or painted, or just cleaned up.
I tried to check whether it'd work(??? not enough time) and bunch of Katrider topics came up in search, as other reply mentioned.

Don't like to link ebay ads, but maybe once you figure what will fit/ want check with a similar salvage there seems like good idea(?)

I think $500 mufflers are stupid myself anyway. Good luck.

You can also bolt on a post 98 OEM Katana system, it's a 4>1.
Also a Bandit system, 4>1, all aftermarket systems for these bikes.

Gee, thanks all! I did try to register to katriders but waiting on them to confirm it..(I didn't realize this site was only gs and not gsx).. And regarding that other response about re jetting for the header, I thought the intake air filter is always the governing restriction (although, I have seen a change in my yamaha venture since punching out the muffs).
