If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Found one of the problems I was having. The float needle is sticking pretty bad on one of the carbs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdQhqQgYqMs&list=UU2y97v3oafkkHERsVLl9Fig&index=1&feature=plcp

Also two of the pilot screws are stuck so I have them soaking in some MP-50 as well as two of the screws on piece that holds all the carbs together.

I did have two small springs and a small washer fall out of the carbs and im not sure where they came from. Im sure ill figure it out as im going along though.

Looks like one of the POs tried to re jet the carbs but only did some of the stuff.

Edit: well im gonna have to drill out the pilot screws and pilot jets so I packed everything up and gonna finish it tomorrow at the shop where I have my drill bits. Been fun working on them though :)

gonna pull all the turn signals off and remove all the wiring. Also gonna replace all the seals in the front forks. the left side fork is leaking pretty good.

You forgot the beer holder when you swapped everything else over on the bars:dancing: Looking good !

Im loving this! With a little work youve completely changed the overall stance! Great so far!

Thanks guys. Hopefully things will progress quicker now

Also I love when the tool guy shows up :D

Two carbs are done but the other two still need the pilot screws extracted. The PO did not use brass ones so these are super super hard to drill into. So tomorrow hopefully I'll get them drilled.

So close!!!

Got one of the other idle air screws out and that carb completely rebuilt and jetted

But the other refused to come out so I bought a "new" carb on here and it should be here in a few days.

Also started striping the tank down. I have 3 ideas of what to do paint wise but haven't made up my mind yet.

actually not really. just waiting on the new pilot jet plugs to show up then itll be 100% done

Careful now, next thing you know this will be down to a bare frame and a pile o parts, then powdercoat, polishing, and painting. Before you know it you'll have a new bike!

I dont think I want to do that much work on this thing haha.

from here its gonna get fork seals, brake flush, most likely new rotors, and go through the electrical system and strip out all the crap I dont want and then tidy it up. Essentially its gonna have the turn signals removed completely and the brake light moved. Find a speedometer, cut an inch of foam out of the seat (ive got short legs  ) pull the pet cock apart and make sure things there are good, wrap the exhaust, finish the exhaust out to the back of the bike. . . . this list is depressing :(

Have a look at Gatekeepers project. It started out as an oil change, I think....

im just dying to start this thing up haha. Hopefully tuesday next week Ill be able to. Ill have the new plugs in the carbs then ill be able to slap them on. although I think I have to replace on of the hoses that I pulled off. It was quite brittle and cracked. Dont remember which one though

pulled the front forks off for new seals
