DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Onya Leigh!!!! See I bust my thumb and you get yours finished, nice one :D

And I agree with Simon that late night runs with less traffic are definitely being kind and considerate to your fellow man.

So one little pesky question... where are the pic's???!!!

I'll get some photos when I drag it out of the shed, Pete.
I've taken enough of it sitting there looking forlorn.
I'll aim for Thursday night, I reckon.

Thumb? I've missed something. (EDIT : I found your thumb story, Stumpy)
I finish my bike and you break a thumb.
What am I in for when you finish yours? Oh dear...
Not the collar bone again, please.

She'll be right mate! I only meant I'm delayed again so you got to finish :D

Stumpy 'ey? Haven't been called that one yet! Haha

Looking forward to Thursday now :D

Oh and Don, yeah, bring it on!

AAAARRGGH!!

Stupid bloody neighbourhood!

I did the pre-flight checks, I dusted off the lid and jacket.
The battery was charged, the bike was warmed and rolled out into the driveway.

I stood grinning at it as I finished a ciggie in the cool night air.
I felt like a teenager on a first date with the hot chick from school.

10.30. I figured it was a prime time to do the road tests on the Fat Girl.
There wasn't a sound from the streets.
All quiet on the Western Front, Sarge.

I threw a leg over and fired her up.
As I did the strap on the helmet the peace was shattered by a siren and red & blues in the dark.

I panicked. How could they know?
But it wasn't for me.
The neighbours around the corner had decided Road Test Night was also Have An Argument Night.

Two cop cars and a bike.
All at the corner of my court.
I suppose I could have nonchalantly waddled on by but I know how my luck runs.

I rolled the bike back into the shed and wandered inside.
Soon, my pretty, soon.

Would it be wrong to fire-bomb my argumentative neighbours's house? Just a little bit?
They ruined my evening after all.

Nah , just wait a coupla days and do your test outside their house (at aboot 3am) . They won't call the cops .

Cheers , Simon . :)

+1 on that one!

If you had rubber to spare I'd say deposit some on their driveway too...

That's a real bugger, but you will get your chance again soon :D

I have the old Chinese tyre sitting there...
Hmmm (strokes beard thoughtfully)

The Road Test is still on, of course, just delayed.
Kind of like a shuttle launch but hopefully without the bang.

Good stuff, you don't have the initials like NASA does... you know the Need Another Seven Astronauts one?

I wonder if Chinese rubber smells different to other rubber?

I think there is a nasty joke in there about Chinese rubber but I'm not game to look for it.

Hahaha that would be nasty indeed! I believe the correct phrase is "don't go there girlfriend"... although sounds a bit funny a guy saying that to a guy... I'm sure there's a more appropriate one somewhere, far more appropriate than some comment about a Chinese rubber anyway...

i've made a decision..
I'm going to pull the bike apart again.
Mostly.

I'm not 100% happy with a few bits & pieces so I.'m going to do them again.

I'm usually a sort of that-will-do person but since the bike is still off the road until probably March, I might as well put more time in on it.

The tank will be stripped and repainted for a start. I might even pull some engine covers and polish them up.

I'll see what the weekend brings. I promise more photos.
Maybe even some out in the sun.

Good luck with the sun . I thought you blokes were getting a bit of a drink as well as us and the cockroaches . Seems like 1/2 this wide brown land of ours is under water at the moment .

Cheers , Simon . :)

Yeah I see news articles about 1 in 200 year floods for Victoria... what's going on? You gonna get wet Leigh or will you be right?

And pulling it apart again... man you're keen, but I can understand why :)

The flooding is in the West. Horsham is in for some rough times. It's been pouring down here on and off. The weekend looks good though.

The Island Classic is on this weekend. I won't be able to make it so I might as well sit in the shed and sook.

Cool, sounds like you'll be high and dry.

We had our first really sunny day for ages yesterday but the water everywhere is making it ridiculously humid at the moment, so hopefully that calms down a bit soon.

Don't worry, I can't make the island classic either, so we can both have a good sook

Me three sooking . I'll get there one year , then on to Tassie .

Rally anyone ???? (Sorry , didn't mean to jack off your thread .)

Cheers , Simon . :)

Well now I feel bad leaving you two to sook alone.
Through the generosity of mates I will be at the Island for the weekend.
I'll be riding for the first time since April last year.
A K5 750 has been forced upon me. I know this bike, we have punted around the circuit together.
There will be an 1100 Kat and an RD350 to play with too.
I will bring back photos..

So, you're officially a lucky bast*&d. I'm just jealous

Go have fun for us, get plenty of pic's, and post them up so we can at least live vicariously through your experience :D

You PR#CK .

Well done .

Now you've got a big obligation to drink , laugh and live it up for all of on here who aren't going .

Are you up to the challenge ????? :-s

Cheers , Simon .

I can feel the love from here.

I promise to abuse my liver, and possibly several other organs, in your names, gents.

There will be photos galore.
Phillis will have the new Kat out to play. Ross, he of the 1100, knows him well. I should be able to get some nice close up shots.

I will head out for a run on Saturday and get some road photos for the Flatlanders on here too. :)
