A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Got this in the mail from Boulevard Suzuki.Great prices and very resonable shipping to Canada.

A few nice OEM goodies thanks to a benefactor who shall remain anonymous unless he steps forward.

Greg those carbs look great! And you gotta love opening a box and finding those red labels inside don't ya'?

I also say good prices and shipping to Aus from Boulevard as well...

Sanded the rims prior to polishing.Yeah I restripped them to.Did the first step in the polish(sisal and black bar).Had to stop as my arms are tried:|
Yes Pete they are pretty good, using them again me thinks.:D

Thats a whole lot of "Keeping Busy" in that box right there!
... and I bet your hands WERE tired after the first go of polishing the rims. That is a major chunk of aluminum to manuver around.
Devotion for sure!

Glad they sorted you out Greg :)

My back ordered fuel tap should be just about here, ended up being only about a week behind the rest of the order, and I didn't have to pay extra shipping either, they said not your fault we'll send it later.

Pretty cool :)

Oh, and I wire wheeled my rims... started sanding and said bugger this after about 15 minutes of pain... but then again I was painting them all black except the lip too...

They are the lower legs that Rustybronco mentioned in post#11.A set off a 78 E.

Did the polishing,to bad it's covered in dirty fingerprints from the engineer at work.Manged to get the old bearings out.I could not get a good whack at them with the spacer in the way.Did the freeze and heat trick with the new bearings.Worked great on the first bearing, popped right down.Other side needed a little persuasion but went down OK.Did forget to put the spacer back.Should be OK without it?

Greg, you are not talking about the steel tube spacer that lives inside the rim between the two bearings are you???
Because if you are......uuuuuuummmmm.......No, you won't be alright at all, sorry man, a bearing will have to come out, but the spacer has to be there.
Otherwise your bearings will collapse from exessive side loads after only 3 miles, and the wheel will lock up and you will fall down and you will most certainly be killed.

Seriously, it prevents side loads on the bearings, the outer spacers on the axle push up against the inner race of the bearing, so as you tighten your axle nut, without the inner spacer, you are pulling the two inner races towards each other, with nothing for them to seat against.

Great:eek::rolleyes:Popped the easy side out.Freezing it as I write this.Hope I haven't buggered it up:-k

Looks like it will be fine now.Got the spacer in with not to much trouble.

Great stuff, I am sure it will be fine, those bearings are really tough, made from some stupid hardened steel, and it does not take too much to pop them in and out, I seriously doubt you managed to damage it.

Thanks Stan, hoping so to.The engineer found out how tough. Was working the inner race with a die grinder for quite a while:-\\\
