A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

OK Dale then where do the other wires go?Are they near the flash unit? Am I right that this is a C harrness? As I see nothing else close to the flasher I'm guessing it is.

Isn't that little box the turn signal control for an E model?

(where's the emoticon for slapping yourself in the forehead?)

I need to look under my left side cover more often

Sorry Greg, I've a bit busy this evening trying to catch up on different things. I'll go out in the garage in a bit, get a TSCU and photograph it's connectors for you to look at.

No problem Dale.I don't see any extra connections from the one that was on the bike.Compared them side by side to be sure.

OK I FINALLY did something with the "new" harness. It came with all the stock seperate regulator and rectifier and a better than what I had fusebox.I was thinking of not using the 750 blade type fuse box and the Hoda reg/rec.Common sense took over and I grafted the 750 and Honda conectors to the harness.

The second time around on primer.A bit more sanding and probaly another coat. Then sand again.A coat of better primer surfacer after that.Dupli-color this time, learned my lesson after the last disaster:(Pick up some more Poppy Red to.

Think I'll paint this up in the red to,wouldn't be a Greg bike without a fairing:DWhen inquring a about paint for Yeller I asked about 2K in a can,we can get it here:dancing:

Bought these MDI shocks of local member Gearhead13,$35 with no shipping and cash in his hands. Before you tell me how stiff they are remeber this is to be my 2up bike.Neither of us is exactly light.

Well the tank is in primer sealer, finally.Did more work than I thought it was going to take but now it's smooth!Had a payment problem with the harness that is now resolved.Never doing a mail exchange of funds if I can help it.

So I was sanding the primer on the under seat trim,it's cracking where I repaired it with the ABS slurry.Guess it's better now than after I repainted.:(

aaaggghhh! 62 pages and you just quit? I want to see the finished product. Its an amazing job, i love reading this.

I didn't quit. I've been distracted by the KDX project and the 85 750EF that's my DR needs painting.

Thank God.I so much want to see it done, not as much as you, but I restored an 83 venture one time.I had twice as much in it as it would ever be worth, but I was so proud of it.I gave it for free to hannigan fairng copany in Paris Arkansas.its on their website.Thos 83's all had transmission problems, so I said no mas.

Not to hijack the thread but checked out that Hannigan Fairing Company's website and they are not taking orders until December so call us back then:eek:

Certainly a tough choice whether to ramp up production to fullfill orders quicker or hold the line and risk p&ssing off potential customers who want product now

I plug away somewhat slowly but it WILL get done.

Jerry is an absolute perfectionist.I think his fairings are the best made fairings in the world.Sure they almost all look alike, but you cant rush quality, he wont do it, and your fairing will last a lifetime once on your bike.Mine cost $1400 with the lowers, 1000 without. But you can easily drop 500 on a memphis shades with quick disconnect mounts.I got better gas mileage with my yamaha after the fairing was on, plus you could feel no wind at all on a cold winters day coming head on.For those guys who only want handlebars and no shield its a no go.But bevel drive engines are not as good as a GS engine.

Such a beautiful day to paint here in Sooke I took advantage of it.That's 7 coats of lacquer wet sanded every 2nd coat.Hope 1 day next weekend is as good, will do the white and maybe some 750 stuff to.
