A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

A trip to the Suzuki (?) dealer

I think I'll throw a positive into this thread. There are a lot of local shops around where I live, and where I work (45 min. apart) Most are too busy to deal with people, much like what has been expressed in thsi thread.

I ended up buying my GS from a little shop about a half hour from home that has no New line they sell, just used. Been in business for a million years, friendly, just a great bunch of people.

I cam in looking at an 700 in white, all done and in the wrapper, really pretty. When I commented that it was going to be my first bike in a decade or so, one of the mechanics mentioned a mechanically great bike that was ugly in the back, that need paint and not a lot else. I went back and looked at it, and ended up buying it, and saving about 800 bucks over the one that was all done.

Oh, the day I came to pick it up, on their little showroom floor were a Silver bandit, a red Moto Guzzi with a stunning chrome tank, a late nineties YZF600(maybe 750) and a 2005 triumph bonneville america. Talk about a wide array...

They service everything, and I've stopped in a few times simply to chat with them, and usually I'll end up in the back yacking with the owner and a couple mechanics about all sorts of stuff. Just a great, great shop. I'll be taking the GS there for anything I can't handle on my own without hesitation.

(I may even get lazy and have them do the oil changes...stupid 4-1 pipe is going to make those a real pita)
