A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

After market exhaust suggestions? Mine has holes.

Is there a reason you are not looking at the link I sent you in the first response? That, plus a proper muffler, will get you where you want to go.

Nope. In the fitment section, it says 1100E. An exhaust for an E model is different than a G. Keep the headers if you can and just buy mufflers. I have thought of trying used mufflers from a Triumph Thruxton for my stock GK. I believe they are stainless and cheap to boot. Would love to hear others thoughts on the pros and cons of those.

My headers are the problem. They need to be changed.

Do you know if I'll still need those pain in the ass round couplers than go inside? I think they are called exhaust plates?

Awesome. Thanks

Tank is off cause Im waiting on a new petcock but I started her up for a few seconds and she sounded AMAZING. Apparently you can take off the inner muffler to make her louder but I think Ill keep it as is for now. My neighbors will thank me. Haha

I was curious about those, the local dealer said they were pretty loud, but that was their only complaint....
The Vance and Hines isn't that much more....

My set built power across the power band with all the baffles in place and made it a lot easier to tune compared to my old Vance and Hines set. Great pipes. They are not loud unless you open the throttle all the way. You could easily ride through a hospital zone without excessive noise or wake up the cows If you wanted to.

So, after putting on my new pipes I now realize my brake lever hits the muffler when I'm trying to brake. Uh oh. Any suggestions ? Maybe bring up the foot peg to then bring up the brake lever?
