    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

air screws

the air screws on my cv carbs are in bad shape, i am only doing more damage to them trying to get them out, and getting nowhere, ive tried pb blaster and all of the normal fixes and only gotten 1 to budge, i have the 2 double throated carbs (either bs30 or 32) if i use an easy out to remove them does anyone know how i can replace them, they aren't on the exploded diagram at bikebandit, i've tried searching and found that others have had this problem but not what they ended up doing to fix it. thanks for your help
 
Usually you have to get them as part of a carb rebuild kit. IF you do drill them GET A LEFT HAND DRILL BIT. The last thing you want is for the drill to catch & tighten the screw. It may even break the point off.

Don't use an Easy Out. It'll just double your problems. Do you have a dremmel? I cut the channel to the screw head and cut a notch in the screw head. It'll come out. Don't cut the threads out though.
 
Liberal PB Blaster, good fitting screwdriver, heat gun (no, not a hair dryer) on the alum hsg adjacent to the stuck screw.

Have patience & heat the alum body for at least 10 -15 min with the heat gun. keep dousing with PB blaster at the same time. Then try turning he screw both in & out until it backs out.

This method has worked for me on several "lost cause" screws.

Does anyone know for sure, does Suzuki use some type of "loctite" on the air screws?

I remember the 2 week long battle I went through with my original carbs, and still ended up trashing the #3 carb in the process.

i bought a new one from z1 and my carb now works as well as the other 3.
