A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Copy & Paste. Exactly what I wanted to say. All the best.

You know 80 miles each way is a nice incentive to not move if the road and weather are nice and you have a nice zook to share the miles with.:-\\\

Larry..All I can say is that I ECHO the sentiments already posted. Like i told you a few weeks ago when you told me of this, us guys that are into theses bikes because of their significance to the history of motorcycling in general and wish to honor and revelle in their glory want only the best for ourm efforts and money. When that "someone" is found one tends to get spoiled very very easily. In a motorcycle sense..I think that would make YOU a WES COOLEY of the paint slaying type. I am glad that youll consider side jobs as time permits. God speed and im so proud to drive your artwork around and spout your name at every chance it comes up.

I actually know a couple of co-workers doing just that for now, but it's a 90 minute commute (by car) each way. 6 months out of the year would be do-able, but the winters here can be treacherous at times. Wish I didn't have to move, it's a p-i-t-a.

Thanks, Chuck. It's been a total pleasure having you as a customer. You've been an unbelievable supporter and cheerleader for MMP, and I appreciate that. ;)

Bummer. I was going to give you a shout about doing my FZ1 for me. Now I have to look for somebody else. Anyway, good luck on the air and all. Wish you only the best.
Dave

Well DJ Larry... I never would've guessed! Glad you're getting the opportunity to go back to what you love :D

It'll be sad to see the awesome paint jobs slow down for a while, but hopefully the landlord and neighbours are fine and dandy with the odd job here and there.

I'm actually planning a shed to double as a reasonably proper spray booth down the side of the house because I recently discovered spraying 2 part here is only legal if you have a proper spray booth... so if your landlord/neighbours have any complaints keep an eye out for when I do it as the plan is for my neighbours not to have a clue what's going on... and for it to be all filtered and sealed so it's legal too :)

Thanks, Pete. That 2 part urethane is pretty heavy duty when it comes to fumes. Activated charcoal filters will help. I mostly need to find out if I can cut a hole in my landlord's nice shed for an exhaust fan..haha!

Thanks for the filter tip Larry, hadn't gotten that far in my planning yet ;)

If your landlord is into bikes you could always off to paint a tank for him in compensation... I'm sure once he's seen your work he'd realise he was getting a bargain!

And so it is, the trade looses another true craftsman.
I am thrilled for you Larry, may you have many happy and joy filled hours doing what you love.

Dang! I totally understand Larry..still one of the best painters out there bar none!

You, too, have been an awesome customer, Joe. You've allowed me the time to do your bikes the way we both knew they had to be done, w/o question. Your talent as a restorer made painting your bikes a priviledge. You totally get what attention to detail means, and how it's the combination of our talents that made the finished products so incredibly cool. I hope that we can work together again soon.

a thank you to larry

the 3 paint jobs arrived safe and sound in australia
beautifully packaged and look even better than the photos once unpacked

thanks alot larry
a pleasure to deal with you
let me know when you are ready to paint again i still have the s models for you to do

steve

Whew..glad to hear everything arrived safely, Steve. Even happier to hear that you're satisfied with the results. Shipping parts half way around the world was scary, for sure. I'm thrilled that all is well. Thank YOU for the business, and the kind words. I can't think of a better way to (temporarily) close the doors of Meticulous Motorcycle Painting then doing your bikes. It was indeed a pleasure. :D I look forward to the possibility of doing your S models one day.

Beautiful work Larry. I wish you the best. Always so nice to see quality craftsmanship. That is the way it should be in all things...

It says so much about your character. I pray your new endeavor goes well for you.

As a former broadcaster, I understand your move. I got tired of being jobless everytime the joint I was at got sold. After I retire from teaching, I plan to go back. Then it will be for fun, not profit.
Good luck. Great work.

Thanks very much, Dave. I appreciate that.

I get more compliments on this bike than any other I ride...:)
