A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So here's my story.
I was out with my lady on Friday night, it was beautiful, not a cloud in the sky. We were heading to our friends' house to hang out around 1:30am. I figured that since it was so nice we would take rte 295, its a bit more round about to get where we were going, but peaceful especially at night.

We get on 295 and all of a sudden the sky opens up. HUGE rain drops, lightning bolts, the whole thing came on with no warning. Instant soaking. Needles pierce my face.

I slowed down, in the slow lane with no one else on the road.

Suddenly bright white lights coming up fast behind me.

Then they were to my right. Great big grey Lincoln. This stupid douche was trying to pass me, in pouring rain, in the breakdown lane!

His Rear Tires slipped out, now he is broadside to me, he shoots across 3 lanes of the highway less than 10 yards in front of me. Hits the median and starts to roll.

I somehow avoid hitting him, but I am chewing dirt from his tires. My girlfriend flips him off, we get off the highway, get to our friends' house and I start shaking. Glad I am okay, and amazed that nothing happened.

the end.

Wow, Glad you made it through that OK. I know that would've scared the living crap outta me.

Close to bar time is not a safe riding time, especially on main roads

Thankfully he missed you and you're all right

Why didn't you stop and kill him for the good of mankind?

At least you got to see that POS get rolled. Again, glad you and yours were unscathed

Killing him might be for the public good, but I'm sure it's illegal, though justifiable homicide SHOULD be applicable in a just world (what the H@ll am I thinking?). Maybe he'll kill himself driving like that before he gets someone else hurt or killed, but probably not. Anyway, I'm really glad that it didn't turn out any worse for you!

wow. thank God you are ok.

people just.. i don't understand how some of them make it to adulthood? you'd think they would do something stupid enough to take themselves out at a young age.

Maybe he already did, did you stop to see? Rolling a car is pretty dangerous.
I would have at least stopped to laugh at his drunken ass, tell the cops how he tried to kill you, and **** in his gas tank and upholstery.
Hell I'd even tell them he knocked you down if you have any damage on the bike you want fixed free.

Ive often considered carrying an asp in my boot for situations like this, but then again, car vs bike, you're better off just outrunning his ass and not looking back. you dont know how many times ive wanted to smash out someones driver side window when they've been yaking on their cell phone as they started to change lanes into me.

i didn't stop. it was raining so hard i couldn't think about anything but getting out of it. my girlfriend was yelling things like"yeah f' you, thats what you get for being a douchebag" and flipping them off though. I'm always so proud of her.

Glad you're okay.

Get yourself a fullface helmet and you won't have to deal with the stinging rain and flinging dirt the next time that situation (hopefully doesn't) come up.
