DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ya you would need to give the paint a little tooth once cured, before spraying more paint on top of it. I would take it thru to polish that way you know you got everything. then when you are ready to spray some clear on top just hit it a gray pad and shoot your clear.

Keep up the good work buddy!!

Cheers BriBird!

Hey Zooks,
that's a tasty looking lamp is that, i've thought that 4 times already though, lol!

How far does it stick out from the mount? I don't suppose a pic would be handy of it on your bike would it? I've seen pics of the "cafe pig" before and i love it, told you that already i believe?

ta.

Dang! I'm inspired.

Watching with interest and more than a little awe.

Dang.

If you have a motorcycle bone yard at your disposal, just about any Japanese maker from the mid 80's have some pretty cool looking flat-faced tail light assemblies. The Suzuki RG500 Gamma comes to mind. Snow mobile tail lights are another option. Personally, I think the early Model A tail lights, although cool, don't fit the more contemporary look of your bike. A Gamma light sunk into that tail section would look so clean.

Bad Kaw.. You going to to "thunder in the valley" over in marquette on saturday?

No, unfortunately I will be at the FHSU graduation in the morning, then immediately jumping in the car and taking I-70 for a 5 hour ride to Colorado Springs. But my good buddy Dustin is going down with a few of his buddys. He's got a black V-Max, the last year of the first generation ones...what's that make it, a 2008?...I dont' know. Anyway, he's got a chrome Holeshot (I think) exhaust system on it, so if you see a bike like that with EL county tags go tell him you know his motorcycle buddy that goes to his church...he'll get it.

PS> I put a LOT of miles on X-1s back when I worked for Topeka HD; great bike.

Carbs!

Carbs!

Hi all, here's a pic of my bright n shiny ohhhhhhhh so sexy plastic coated carbs!

I won't say too much on here about them as they deserve their own thread, my good friend BriBird did the work for me, all i had to do was polish the internals and put them together with stainless hardware. Can't wait to put these on, i just hope the rest of my bike is worthy of wearing em!

Cheers BriBird!

BTW, made a decision on a rear light, cheers for the tip there nvr2old, i went for something similar. Update pics on this very soon.

Check out the "Plastic Coated Carbs" thread in the appearance section for more pics on these little beauts!

Wo-hooow! Very nice.
But I'm going to go all "taboo" here: how much did that cost?

It wasn't enough!
Needless to say, Bribird is one VERY generous gent indeed, i'll be working that debt off for quite some time to come..............

Did i manage to wriggle out of that one ok?

LOL! Dont let him fool ya... its not like I am all that generous. Me and Yaddy are buds and help each other out when need be. I have the proper front master on my bike now, and an oil cooler that I could not have done without his help on figuring the oil plumbing differences between his 650 and mine, as well as the oil pan and the regulator block off tube. It was the least I could do to repay him for helping me out. Thanks again yaddy.

Okay, okay...a "buddy" deal. Say no more. My inquisition has its boundaries. Well done, all the way around!

Here's the carbs now fitted to the bike. Very clean looking and deffo a focal point on the bike, nice work there Bribird!

Here's the finished look of the lamp, fitted and functional. I like the large size of it and also, the pretty subtle look to it. I did want two seperate lamps originally but i think this one fits the bike as a whole. So far, this is the only thing on the bike that has a visible "Suzuki" logo/wording on. I might just leave it at that tbh, i like the plain look of the bike and it will probably keep a few people guessing as to what it is, although that tank is a dead giveaway i think!
