A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Start with my original 79 GS100E and strip it down to the frame , chop off the subframe and weld in some bits and pieces to monoshock it

then I made custom triple trees and put a GSXR 1100 front end and a gsxr rear end , but I have a load of pictures but have no clue how to upload the things..
Needless to say it is going to be a very minimalist ride with a small seat and no subframe..
So if you want to see the pics I can e-mail them to someone who could then stick them up here.
I have had the bike 17 yrs and rode it stock and then decided to do major surgery on the beast. My goal is to have it on the road for Laconia bike week

here is the triple trees I made on a band saw and used a boring hole saw for the holes to accept the gixxer fork legs , I'm not a fan of polishing and they willl stay the way they are and the whole bike is getting painted in a gloriuos coat of Matt black

another pic with the fork legs attached

No subframe ,just a small seat coming from the tabs that I welded on the frame and the rear light will hang under the seat . the rear light is from an RC51 with integrated turn signals so smaller is better.
The front headlight is an old world war 2 gas mask that I epoxyed to make it really ridgid and there are 2 piaa lights in where the eyes would be , sort of Rob Zombie meets Mad Max type of thing..
I have had the bike in my mind for years and have finally got around to putting it together..
another pic with the seat and handlebars

Brilliant.

Email the pictures to sidd@yak.net and I'll either dump them in a web directory or post them to the board

Any more info on the boring saw you used to make the tripple?

Zombie, your work looks really clean and solid. With the tree and swingarm you've given it coupled with your choice of paint it is goint to have a real industrial look to it. Awesome man! =D>

Looks awesome, can't wait to see the finished product. Cheers!

I love it. keep the pictures flowing. and the fingers!!!

a real chopper.

Zombie, are you responsible for the other bikes I've seen in Street Fighter Magazine that have gas mask headlight setups?

nope but thats where I got me inspiration from. I have every copy of streetfighter from the beginning and it had been invaluable for what I'm doing and the gas mask thing came from an older gpz1100 rat fighter that was really well done and my bike is loosely based on that .
I've built old brit choppers back in the day but can't ride a hardtail anymore

zombie nice bike looks bad ass can we see some pics of the headlight. Also you have any brit parts or chopper parts im building a bsa chopper a65 model , looking for some forks or an oiltank, other chopper goodies that might want o get rid of. thanks keep up the good work badass bike.

Simply awesome. This is the best thing I have read on this perhaps any MB.

I attempting something similar with a 79 750. I found that a Hurricane 600 rear will fit nicely and is relatively cheap, so I want to try that. What swing arm and shock did you use? Did you attatch it the the frame where the center stand used to be? Sorry for all the questions, it's just right up my alley.

Future plans include a single sided swimg arm if I can get one to fit. clip-ons, gsxr front end, TL1000 rear cowling, 81 GS1100 tank, under tail exhaust similar to an MV Augusta, and anything else I think up along the way.
