    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi gang new here, my 1st post. no longer a virgin
People, I have recently bought back an 1986 GS750S Katana, Canada speck (GSX750S in Europe). I was the original owner from 1988 to 1999 when I sold it to my cousin. Now I own it again. Want to do a project out of it. Ok here is my question, I know there is a problem with 3rd gear what exactly, don't know yet. Plus I would like to do more to it. Who out there knows what engine parts etc would be a direct fit? Model and years. Is there such a place were can I get info on interchangeable parts that would fit with minor mods etc. I am good on the mechanical side just need more practice and courage, hence the Katana's role.
I have the Suzuki repair manual
Would be nice to have a parts list/microfiche list for this bike.
Would be even better to have a whole list of parts list of similar bike for part hunting.

Have a look at Katana Central
http://www.katanacentral.co.uk/index.asp
Loads of info there + lots of advice available.
There is a guy on there, Damian McGuiness, who can supply you with manual & parts list, go to the bottom of the first page & click on workshop & parts manuals.

Think oil cooled GSX-R!!! motor shold be a straight swap;youwillneed to fabricate new mount plates however. Forks are a straight swap, swingarm is almost a straight swap, not quite but amost.

Good stuff on the Katana Central page. I think I need to do a lot of reading... Oh well I have about 50 solid years to complete the work 8O :? . I would prefer 10...5 would be great :) .
A major heart transplant was not something I was considering....yet. I have a dayly driver and it keeps my wallet empty so this Kat is for pure fun, maybe the girlfriends first bike.

Got the bike delivered over the weekend...does not look as pretty as the day I sold it in 1999. Cousin put 7K on it but put 10 years of wear and left it outside sitting there for 4 years from the looks of it. ( snow rain rodents, animals)
Anybody reading this who lives in Canada give me a shout at jrbiker@videotron.ca looking for contacs. Thanks
