A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I am starting a rebuild of my carbs. They have been soaking in pinsol and water for about 4 days. I was thinking about dipping them in the next week or so. I don't know what to do with the chemical once I am done and thought it would be nice to share the cost.

It looks like Amazon will deliver this stuff for about $30.00.

If anybody living in the Chicago land area or near Appleton WI area I would be glad to offload this stuff once I dip my carbs for a portion of the price I paid.

Any takers?

Try Walmart, I know they sell it here in CT for about $18.

4 days in PineSol.....

24 hours should have been plenty, and a bit of scrubbing on the outside via a stiff brush, and a baby bottle brush, and a rinse in hot water, this would have gotten off almost any and all gunk....

Pinesol will not remove old gas that has hardened, use carb cleaner, or gas line antifreeze to clean that up...

4 days....

Yea..I soaked and then left town for a few days. Next I separate carbs and put in the ultrasonic cleaner...or Berryman's. Have not decided yet.

Why so expensive for dip in Wisconsin? I just got a new can at Wally World for 19 and change out the door!!!

I'm in St Charles, IL. You can have my gallon. Only used once

If you have an ultrasonic, that's the way to go.

I have a can of berrymans that hasn't been touched since I picked up my sonic.

I use 2 parts water to 1 part simple green and it takes about two 7-minute cycles (one the solution is at peak temperature) and carb parts come out clean enough to eat from...though you'd have to dip 'em again if you did...:p

What type of ultra sonic machine do you have?

Just be warned, if you choose to ship it you must use a ground service such as UPS or FedEx.
It is $18 here in Indiana as well.
