anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Good afternoon, We went for a short ride last night to the brother in-law's. It was fun but cold. Still doing some work on my bike. went yesterday morning and picked up the brother in-law's cb 450 honda for the hubby. he is working on it now. lots of cleaning and stuff. ordered a air cleaning tank for the gs 250 and then we have to buy tires and some electrical thing for it. I hope that will do it so we can go for a longer ride. Good luck on your rides and have fun.

Paul Kahnert was kind enough to tell me about the Sunday morning gathering at Woodbine & Stouffville RD near Gromley, ON. Turned out to be a great riding day, what with 17? C weather and all. Paul's highly customized GS1000 is a work of art, btw.

Went out for about 70km today. Great weather we are having. I went over to my father-in-laws today so he could take me for a ride in his 69 camero. His first drive of the year.

i took a 400 mile round trip ride in my tundra today. bought a 1500 mile 1997 yamaha vmax for $1000.00. was left behind in a rental home after the landlord evicted the owner. sat in a trailer for six years. no title (of course), no key. but he11, its a thousand dollar vmax.

Bike looks mean!

Dared the elements today and took a ride on the Yamaha XJR1300. Around +5 degrees (Celsius), dry roads and sunny.

Weather like this is extremely unusual in late March up here in the north. Usually it's like this in mid-April.

Nice! Are the S fairings with mirrors impossible to come by? Planning the same for a skunk. Well done man.

Crappy picture and crappy weather, but my first time riding in to work this year! Surprisingly I was dry and warm when I got in, thanks to new rain pants and a leather jacket. I may return these pants for a Frog Togg set soon though.

took about a 70 mile ride today on my new to me 2006 anti-harley harley.

One of the best motors out there, a pity the Harley faithful never embraced it.
they are going to have to in the near future. the air cooled twin cam will not pass the e.p.a.'s newer, more stringent maximum decibel rating drive by test that goes into effect in the very near future. only way to quiet the mechanical noise of an internal combustion engine is to water cool it to insulate the sound.

Road to work and to a shop so I could replace my crappy 'waterproof' and 'cold weather' Bilt gloves that I got less than a week ago.
Its been pouring with rain all day(week), so I'm staying indoors for the rest of the day.

So, I'm working on restoring an estate pipe I picked up this past weekend. 1933-1936 Yello Bole. I cleaned it up a bit and now letting it sit in a ziplock with rum and some 190 proof everclear for a day or two.
Now to figure out how the hell I'm going to smoke it and ride at the same time.. :D

If I send them 6.50, think they'll still send me one? :p

Just gotta teach the wife how to ride. If it ever stops raining. We have flood warnings for the next 3 days.

Kat Day Out

Kat Day Out

Hi to all, well the weather was perfect here to-day for a ride which was much appreciated by some friends that had planned to have a Kat Day Out. The ride was just over 340km in distance and through some very scenic mountain roads with some sporty sections as well as sweeping low level hills through some of the back roads with no other vehicles in sight, what a great day! We had a pretty good mix of bikes with Pete's GS450, John's G1100G, a Firestorm, a SV650, a GSX1100ES, an ex-production Racer GSX1100 E that is still very fast, a Yammy and two other bikes I can't think of right now, and oh yeah seven Katanas including a stunning 750 Pop-up and a highly moddified Kat that is capable of ...... well the pic of Drillit's Kat tells the story better than I could! With only stops for fuel and a late breakfast there are only the usual servo pics but these will give you an idea of the day, cheers.

Thanks for organising that Glen, that was awesome, even if I did have to bail out early at Dayboro. Looks like the rest of the day was as good as the start, and I found some new roads too! Never been on Clear Mountain Rd before so now I know it I can add that to my test route...

I have some dodgy iPhone pic's from the Samford servo too, oh, and John's on an 1100 not an 850 ;)

All I can say right now is roll on June and let's get a combined GSR/Katana forum run organised!
