A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
Yes we are lucky. One of the only places in Canada that you can ride all year. Winter time highs are around 10 (50) degrees. We rarely get snow and if we do it does not last long. Summer time average high is 24 (80) no humidity and no mosquitoes and bugs!Wow Trevor You live in some beautiful county! whats the average temp your way this time of year??? I'm jealous, might need to relocate! I hear Monday is going to be gorgeous my way so I already took it off![]()

Geez Trevor........ Zip it !! Hey everyone, its raining and our Patron Saint is Noah.
that really clean slingshot Trevor! i would love to have a first gen GSXR. you take nice pictures btw.
Thanks Mark, I got lucky on this on $1700 is what I paid. I think I did well. Always wanted one these bikes. Funny, I looked at this bike on usedvictoria for over a month before I went to look at it. I was turned off big time by the solid blue colour.
I went to take the GS1100E out for a ride, put some winter air in the tires, lubed the chain, charged the battery, started it up, and........... as I pulled the clutch lever in to put it in gear the clutch cable gave, no snap, just easily pulled and did not spring back
. Checked terminal ends, no fraying, oh well. So.......... I put it back in the garage and took off on the
1000, sometimes it's nice to have two bikes. Luckily I have a brand new GS1100E clutch cable somewheres. I'll save wrenching that for another day!
........................................... it was in the low 80's. .

If I could've remembered where the guy lived I would've stopped by to see him.
Nice 1100E.
Low 80s... standing around, with jacket on, and hands in pocket. hum...
Would have been interesting to stopp in and see previous owner of nice bike like that, to see if he is happy to see it, or annoyed because he misses it.
I one time happened to meet previous owner of the 80 850G I had for about 5 years. He had had it for about 10 of its 14 years. Later My wife commented on how he was rubbing his hands over the tank and seat while he was looking at it. And wife was saying how strange and rude that was. And she commented on how I didn't seem to mind that this guy was touching my bike. I didnt really notice anything out of the ordinary. Then later I told her that he was the previous owner.

I, too, would be wearing jacket on bike if it were in 80s. But would have it off in about 30 seconds of getting off the bike.
Intersting artical about the bike and previous owner (I think he said he was 2nd owner).
Yah, big difference from 80 to 50 degrees.
THanks for posting.
