    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

That looks downright spooky out there Dan.

The tuning was a long and difficult one, here are pictures on the long, long driveway leading out to get home...

I met AZR over at his house today around 1pm and we rode out to Metchosin along the Pacific to go have some good patato soup. Temp was around 5 and very sunny! By the time I got home I had put on 70km.:)

Ya I just had to laugh, Trevor and I are sitting at the table waiting for our order and this fella walks over to complement us on our bikes, chats us up for a couple of minutes and then starts to say he has an 81 750 sitting under his dad's deck, was riding it 5 yrs ago, the usual story. Then he says "would you guys be interested in it?" I have to laugh at these old Suzuki's, they are like magnets. Nice guy he even said he wants nothing for it just wants to see it put to use. We'll get in touch with him after Christmas.

Got to love it! They tend to follow you home. ;)

I GOT to hang out with you guys more:D;):p

I had to go check the PO Box today so went the long way and took the bike... still only about 5km's all up but better than driving :D

I wish more GS' would follow me home... all that ends up happening for me is people saying "wow I used to have one of them, I really shouldn't have sold that bike!"

I was at a local bike night venue when I got to talking with a gentleman riding a beautiful CBX and
he noticed that I had ridden several different Suzuki's to the event in the past.
He asked if I would be interested in an '83 GS750 with no title.
I said certainly as I have an '81 WITH a title.
Is FREE too much to pay for a complete bike? :D :dancing:
Ride these old bikes more often, you never know who you might meet.

Daniel

My ride today got pre-empted by a white Christmas. Not much snow, but enough to make riding dangerous. I thought I was going to get the next riding game tag, but NOOOO!:(

Sheeesh...

The only way I can explain all this free stuff is that it must be everyone has the Christmas spirit!!:):)

I HAD to take another one of the girls out for a ride today.
She was getting jealous after seeing a stablemate leave yesterday.
According to NOAA.Gov, it was 2 degrees colder than yesterday. Air-cooled bikes don't mind the cold a bit. ;)
They just run a little better! The ice cold incoming air might have something to do with it.
As I couldn't get any water out of a garden hose, all that I could do was wipe some of the dust off with a towel.
A couple of pic's.

I scared the white horse when I dismounted.

Get out and ride those scooters! They'll love you for it. ;)

Haven't had any free bike offers today, but we had a record setting 85 degrees, here in beautiful central Florida. And no, we do not have Global Warning here, it was this hot in the early 70's. Then we actually had some snow in '76. Sorry no picts. but I'll take some tomorrow and post them. The only obsticals we have here, this time of the year, are crazy driver that wont put down there cell phones. My biggest fear is being the cream filling between two bumpers. LOL and knock on wood......

Nice ride too Daniel!
Did not get out today, first time in 8 days! I guess I should count my blessings that I am getting out in December at all. Looks like rain here for the few days too. Oh well I think Santa will be bringing me some GS goodies.:)

Trevor, somewhere in the projects thread, you can find that build. (http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=179253&page=6)
It was a frame with an engine minus just about everything else when I got it.
About $350-400 into it including the new tires.
Most of the parts: Seat, tank, tail, fender, carbs, airbox, etc. were in my spare parts bin.
The rest, was elbow grease, know how and cheapo Krylon paint. LOL!
Now that some of the parts started trickling in from Boulevard Suzuki,
she got a tach cable today (now I know that the tach works) and some new intake and airbox boots real soon. ;)
Send the rain or even snow this way! No water in months.

Daniel
