A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Just one today.

hah, Santa in a helicopter, not something you see everyday :D

I took the old Zuke (I call it "Sparky" now, due to it's constant electrical stupidness) out today for the first time in months, got a temporary fuse box in while I wait for the pc-8 from eastern beaver. Felt good to ride it again.

This in in Prescott Beach, on the Columbia River, about 17 miles from my house. HUGE ship sitting high, must be waiting to go into Portland and be loaded.

I got out today for 2.5 hrs @ 43 degrees, yesterday for 3 hrs @ 48 degrees and Thursday for 2 hrs @ 45 degrees. No electric gear just extra layers and a pair of snow mobile pants.

Most of the ponds and lakes in central New England are partially covered by ice so you know it when you get close to one.

Hey I'll take anything I can get at this point in the season.

"Cold"

"Cold"

All you guys up north will laugh at this, got out on the Beemer this morning @ 0700 to have BK with MiloBramble. 46 and raining. WTF, this is the freakin desert. Been here too long to deal with cold weather, had all my winter gear on and still was chilled after 30 miles. The only thing that should be chilled are Martini's and Beer..maybe a Margarita... :D

Thanks for the desktop photo Trevor.

I'll be adding to this thread in a month or two. My project WILL run and it WILL look good.

i walked by my bike in the garage and gave it a little pet like one would give a dog or a cat.

they already started salting so its away. dont want to have to deal with that nonsense.

Had several shots, but my computer did not play fair today. Apparently lied when it said the shots were imported, but was truthful when it said the shots were deleted off the card.

So here's the one I got. Nothing exciting, just a park near the house known for its Frisbee golf course--if you are into that kind of thing.

Had some nice shots down by the prison where Mike Tyson spent a few years, but they weren't all that close. Don't like to make people with weapons nervous.

Did decide that 43 degrees is about as cold as I can ride. Full mesh pants aren't really conducive to long rides and even my good ski gloves weren't up the the task today. Only about an hour riding, but long enough to get reasonably cold.

That photo even *looks* cold! Glad to see you still out and about though ;)

Could be time to dig into some things I want to do with the bike. Been waiting to get too cold to ride comfortably and I think I'm there. Need better gear.

Sounds like a plan! It doesn't get too cold here thankfully, very happy I can ride year round!

LOL..glad to help. You got any pics of your project?:)

I have one below. The bike is pretty much put together. I do physician billing from my home office and I picked up a new doc a couple of weeks ago and have a mess to clean up. Most likely going to take into the spring, so some of the time I had to work on the motorcycle goes to making a living. I work on it in fits and starts. Little things are messing with me right now, front brake light switch is stumping me, the fact that I can't bleed the rear brakes, where do all of the hoses go from the carburetor, stuff like that.

Then I see a picture of oldrookie, who lives about 45 minutes from me, out riding in this stuff (without a fairing) and it inspires me. Or makes me question his sanity. ;)
