A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Any ride in January is a bonus around here. So, here are a few pics from today.

Snow's gone, I'm happy. 62 degrees today and only a short little ride on the V-star. Had to paint a tank while it was warm.

Got about 50 miles in today.
Was riding in this:

But this was rolling in. Pics were taken at the same time, same location--first was southeast, the second was southwest:

Had started sanding the sidepanels to prep them for painting, but put them back on for the ride.

That's all I got today. Lots of riders out today. Hard to believe I was riding with my two-season jacket and summer mesh pants on Jan. 11th.

Same kind of clouds for me as well, you've also got the rare edition Tempter Time Machine...today's the 12th :p

Paid extra for that feature. It doesn't actually have an exhaust sound. It just plays Cher, "If I Could Turn Back Time."

Wow I couldn't pass up 13C weather. I got in the wind for 2 1/2 hours. It's such a bonus to ride in January here in the Lower Great Lakes Region. We lost almost all of our snow in the last two days. You can see in the background, the creek has swollen and there appears to be the top of a beaver lodge floating by.

(HamamatsuSuzi, I think we are supposed to let them post GS stuff in between GR stuff. It is their forum after all.:D)

Nice looking bike. Are those the original headlight brackets? The turn signals are in the lower GS position, rather than in the straight across from the headlights like mine were.

He's got the deluxe model, notice the extra running light, mag wheels, etc
Just like the one I had.

Saw that, Old_skool, but hadn't realized that the headlight bracket was different between the two models. Yours always confused me, because is has the single-tone paint like the X model and all the other features of the D.

Sorry for the hijack, back to pics of rides

I took her out yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the ride. I have lots of work to do.

Was about 45F so decided to get her out for about 45 miles.
Have to pull the carb rack but good to be out.

Got out today. It was a little cold at around 4 or 5 (40-42) degrees but the roads were dry. Put in a couple of pics for the riding game. These were taken down the road from me..some nice horse farms.

Hi,

Great rides guys! Thanks for sharing. :D

I worked too much this weekend but I did my regular commute into work this morning.

It was rather brisk this morning. The bank and a local car dealership said it was 38* (F) when I left the house. But then Bing weather said this when I got to work. Brrrr.

Ride safely everyone.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I can only dream of 32*F. We are at our predicted high today of 7*f. Looks like I'm waiting for March to arrive and melt the ice pack off of my driveway and the road out front. We actually got winter this winter.

Hi,

Wow Dan, 7* is pretty dang cold. It wasn't quite that cold, but it was BRISK on my way home from work tonight.

This is in the bank parking lot near my house. Ride safely everyone!

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I'm doing the ride to work and back but no photos I'm afraid... cloud cover today and yesterday kept the temperatures down but last week felt like 37 here too... celcius not fahrenheit though
