DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Bit like when you visit London, every pub has an Aussie serving behind the bar. I had to got to a back street pub in Cardiff with 4 1/2 foot ceilings to find a bar without an aussie in it. One pub had 57 different type of beer on tap, even the high speed train had a bar in it.

A nice thing about being in the Commonwealth. A young person can travel to different places work and enjoy another culture. Something I wish I had done when I was young........

Well Dave, I made a little bit of a bigger commitment to riding today....Went up to Chemainus today. Took the back way...warm sun, cold fog. warm sun cold fog cold fog..lol
Did about 220kms today. A fast 220 kms...hehe...
The new 1100 was awesome today!! It was the first big day of riding it for me.

Took so time out for two wheel therapy yesterday, and went for a cruise up on the hills overlooking Perth WA.
Then tucked into the wiring on the GS850 to get it ready today to go back to the shop for a first time start up after the rebuild. Perth is a costal plain city and these hills would only rate as a pimple, but this particular section is an old zig-zag railway turned into a one way downhill single lane road. First gear is needed on the corners and it's twisty and drops fast, and can catch the unwary rider out and spit you over the drops if you're not careful.

Didn't run into any white Dodge trucks from Alberta, did you? :devilish:

Trevor, none of us would ever do such a thing. Where did they get that idea???

Hahaha...I thought about that though. Lol..
But I did get this in the mail today.

You got away easy, I had the cops come to my door once with a complaint! I just told the officer that they need to do a better job keeping slower drivers in their appropriate lane... he wasn't impressed. :stupid:

I'm ready to start reporting every head-up-the-ass infraction I see! Failure to yield, failure to signal, improper lane usage, etc... I'll be on the phone all day but why should the quicker drivers always be the ones reported? Time to make a list of elderly and timid motorists that need to be removed from the public roads. :twistedevil:

You'll never see one those around here, if the cops don't see it, it didn't happen. If the cops get several complaints over a period of time in a particular area, they might set up a watch and increase patrols for awhile. One thing the Sheriff's Dept or State cops won't do is chase a gaggle of crotch rockets ie 100 mph clubs, just to dangerous for everyone.

On the topic of police, I got my first speeding ticket yesterday, he clocked me going 120 kph in an 80 zone on the malahat.
I got it off easy, and paid $113 with the pay within 2 weeks discount.

Did he reduce the amount of speed you were doing? Because even with paying it early it should be more.

1st ride of the year today.

No pix or tix, just a nice brisk 35 mile city park jaunt with the Mrs.

The officer just fined me for speeding, not excessive speeding and it was $134 before the discount of $25.
