A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Yeah we keep getting these teasers of warm days and then cold again. Hit 65F so far today but dropping back into the 40's during the day with mid 20's at night...Warm weather in ND....hmmmm....I'll be in Minot next month but with no bike. Gotta "love" the terrain out there. And that the sun doesn't set til 10pm soon.

If it's nice enough to ride then ride!!! Man you bike looks great Slycox!!!Yeah we keep getting these teasers of warm days and then cold again. Hit 65F so far today but dropping back into the 40's during the day with mid 20's at night...
And yes the terrain is "great" mostly flat with straights around here. Heading west or east its not to bad.
Took the bike to work today and went for a quick ride after, pretty nice except for the ~20MPH winds. Stopped by one of my favorite spots in town.

I have full insulated leather pants and my leather jacket with the fleece liner. It keeps me pretty warm. I can usually get about 10 miles in 20' F. Upper 30's I can reach out about 100 miles at a time. Today I could have racked more miles on but had to come back into town to go to work... Oh well. I remember first staring out too... I didn't have very good riding equipment. Good equipment will last years, keep you warm and save your hide if you fall (heaven forbid). Worth ever penny! I also have a heated vest for those cold days I'm feeling overly ambitious to get over 100 miles...Yeah I'm hoping to aquire some better (warmer) gear this year to keep me riding longer. Cause it gets pretty cold some mornings but is fine after warm. Will be riding as much as I can. Mainly commuting is the plan.
And the bike looks great from a distance, needs a good cleaning though. Just not warm enough for me to feel comfortable with getting her wet...

I'm getting a High VIZ Viking DOT approved rain/winter suite. Suppose to be here tomorrow or Monday. That's suppose to be the best at sealing against the elements and with the liner it's rated to -20F. We will see. Only suppose to get warmer from here on out but I do ride in everything so high end rain gear was the next logical buy.
Well Bike looks good regardless. I use a Honda spray and wipe in between washes. Pretty good stuff, goes on everything (Minus seats and tires).

Works great on the B-King, Bandit and GR650
the FZ1 needs a power wash every time I'm done with her
Good luck bud! Ride safe!

then came back for a "nap".
