A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

And it was a beauty day here today! My wife and I got away for some "couple's therapy" GSX style. ;)

MAN! that's some beautiful riding country!

It is but because we are hemmed in by mountains and the ocean, we have very few roads to choose from... which means that everyone that lives here is also choosing them. I don't think I have had a road to myself since I've lived here! I do miss the open spaces of Eastern Ontario some days... of course those spaces are covered with snow half of the year so I think I'll just stick it out here. :-k

Rob and I got out on the DR's with some buddies today...What beautiful day! I love living here.

And it's so nice to have good friends more concerned about taking my picture than helping me pick up my bike. lol

Just got back from a week in the desert with 2 days at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway on rental 600's.
What a blast, 17 turns 2.7 miles around with a suprising variety of corners.
Never ridden a 600 aside from the beater I got a few months ago.
I was revving the thing to 14.5k every lap with no complaints.
My friend was on a rental 05 GSXR 600 with me on a 08 600 Ninja.
Those SoCal folks ride unbelievably fast. Good times.

A shafty Kat? Who knew? Is that a 650?

Indeed it is... that's the GS650G Katana... although in certain circles it's stated not to be a "real" Katana :D

Joe, do you happen to know if the owners of the 650G and the very nice popup you photographed are members on the Katana Australia forum?

Took the GS out Friday since the Strom is down waiting parts. Found out one phase of the stator is dead :/ so now it's down waiting parts.

TORN had their first race of the year down in Cash about 20 miles away. Went down there and rode the big bike course on the TW200 during the practice time. Had a blast but I'm sure the little TW's fork and shock are going to feel that tomorrow.

We took both the KLR and the GS out yesterday evening for a spin. Did about a 50 mile loop around the Sandia mountains and wound up at a restaurant somewhere off of South 14 called Ponderosa. They had closed ten minutes before we got there so down the road we went, back to Albuquerque. Had a great evening with Andy Vanice and a friend of his who rode an FJR 1300.

Since his GS 750 seems to be in a perpetual state of repair, here's Andy on my 850. Andy, if you read this, I'm hoping that ride sparked some motivation for you to get your bike back on the road.

Here are the three bikes stopped on the road side for a sunset pic. Andy's buddy is slipping on some heated gear.

Sorry mate no idea. I didn't know many people there this year. :) I'm sure the Kat forum will know who owns these though. Cheers.
