A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

No pics?
There are some of us that live vicariously through you track guys.:)

Were you on the Kat?

The Kat engine has been taking a long nap since 2017, but stole the engine out of my wife's 1150 a while back 4/19, so I'm still riding the Kat on the street.

I was riding my beater 04 gsxr 750 track only bike. The photographer 360photography.com will have photos up tomorrow afternoon, I'll try to figure how to post some from my chrome book.

Got out tonight for a ride in the hood on the old 750 :)

I had a bit of a scare. Riding home from visiting dad after dark. I decided to take the state road for a few miles cuz it has a big hill with some fun turns. Well there was a state cop sitting there and he pulled out and followed me at a respectable distance all the way to where I turned off onto the back roads to home. When I got home I realized that I had no tail light or brake light.

I think the cop was just making sure no one caught up to me but wasn't in the mood to actually pull me over.

Seems the tail light on a bmw r1150gs is about the cheapest plastic part I've ever seen. The rest of this bike is rock solid but the tail light housing is minimalist at best. It was melted and had blown two fuses. Hopefully it also doesn't cost much to replace.

Hi....just testing my pics...I have noticed they are not great quality...I have been copying them from facebook to here...I have now changed my download setting on facebook to allow for original hd when posting from my phone....let's see if it works...

I did the mandatory post wash ride. My bike now does not leak oil from the oil cover filter, even if ridden hard (rode for about 90 minutes). Yay me.

It still sweats oil from the generator cover, and oil is coming out the rubber thing between final and secondary drive.

But its soo fun to ride the bike without worrying about losing oil.

I only went to the airport and back (45 minutes each way and 90kmh speed limits). Was a bit more trafficky than Id like. I considered stopping at the gas station for a coffee wtih the biker people, but I decided to just ride back.

That 750 is a cool looking bike.

Someone needs to go through and count how many are actually GSs... or not. I know I'm guilty of posting way more non-GS rides than GS. :dejection:

On that note, I'll be doing a fun overnighter in Globe tomorrow. It's only 100 miles round-trip, but it lets me rail through Salt River Canyon.

Not my video, and you'll want to turn the sound off or put on some good rock, but it shows the canyon.

This came up in my facebook from 7 years ago...my cousin and his wife flew out from Ontario and with me and my wife we rode my two old suzukis throughout BC for a week. The bikes never let us down. It still seems a bit crazy when I think about it...two up and loaded with gear. I had not seen my cousin in ten years and he was the one that got me into bikes....He's 10 years older than me and I would ride on the tank of his cb750four...at 17 he co-signed for my first new bike...a 1983 gs750ed...which I have again in my collection. :)
