I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Just a short ride today. Unseasonably warm, so felt I had to get out for at least a little bit, to nowhere in particular.

Dave, I almost feel bad posting that pic, when I see the vehicle you’ve been driving most lately is your snowblower. :devilish:

Ha! Thanks.
But.... I did get out today.
Hey, did I miss something? Last I knew your replaced engine had a failure (but still kept up with Sportster). ANd you found holed piston.
And you bought a modern bike.
And now I see the T back on the road (well, I assume was an actuall road somewhere in your ride).
Maybe I missed or foregot something about your engine repair.

Went for ride today.

34degF, roads dry.
SOmething of a relief after days and days of temps in teens, and windy, with winter storms about 5 days in a row.

Next couple days maybe a bit warmer, but maybe rainy or wett.
So today is probably last best day to get in a January Ride.

Maybe some salt residue still on road.

Got out the Shadow500.
And geared up, including the 'letric gloves, installed glove 'lectric harnes in jacket, installed insulative panels I made into the riding pants.

Rode a ways further out of town, and around some, and then into town. Stopped in some places for pic. Yah, my goofy selfies.

(could not decide which selfie to post, so made this collage with four of them. Even goofyer yet, eh. )

Was out for little over an hour, not a lot of miles, about 30. But was good to get out.

Maybe should have had the face kerchief, and maybe shoulda had the insulative panels I made for behind the tongue of boots. But was okay.

Finding a day in Febuary is the more difficult month, even if just a short ride. But, if do, then can say rode every month of the year.

Took my Yamaha Tracer out along with a friend who has a BMW for a 200 mile ride In eastern Washington in the Palouse region. Started with 38 deg warming to 62 then back down to 44. No pictures so I guess it didn't happen:rolleyes:

Beautiful day. Almost 50f in town. Chillier up in the mountains. Still a great day riding with my son, doing dirt bike sh!t.

Now that you've had it for a while are you liking the sound and levels from the aftermarket exhaust?

It sounds good! I have after market exhausts on all of my bikes… so I’m used to the extra rumble
The Vfr came with a baffle not installed… so I put it in until the recent maintenance I did I decided to try without… much deeper sound and bark. The v4 engine is awesome! Why did I wait so long? Lol

Took the VFR out today to my BMW dealer to see their new digs....they have everything under one big roof now....BMW, Ducati, Royal Enfield, Zero, Indian, Triumph, and Polaris
Made a service appointment for my k1300r for valve inspection and maintenance
Now that Indian is under the same roof there is a totally different vibe....lots of leather vests! Lol

10 of us got out today for a little ride up island lunch.
The bikes...

2 Honda ST1300
2 BMW RT's
1 Yamaha RZ350
1 Honda VFR1200F
1 82 Suzuki GS1100E
1 2023 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello
1 1999 Ducati Desmodue 900
1 Honda CB500X

Where we had lunch...

Maiden voyage on the Voyager yesterday, rode it about 65 miles round trip to grab a beer at a brewery in Lapel Indiana. 45F and breezy heading out, the perfect bike to ride across pretty flat and straight roads in the midwest in this type of weather. The first bike of this sort I've ever owned/ridden. Still running some very old tires, that and the suspension needs some fresh fork oil and fine tuning of air pressure. Doesn't ride particularly well at the moment!

Hey! 42degF today, In Febuary.
Roads dry, and been a while since salt used.

Might be a bit warmer in next 2 - 3 days, but also maybe wet, so get out today.

Was all suited up, got out GK, then thought to go back in and get my face-n-neck kercheif (that I made), hense why is not tucked in jacket.
