A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

I had my first real ride in almost 10 years on my 450 today after getting it registered :D

No pic's or video I'm afraid, and it wasn't that long a ride... it's also our summer here so it was quite warm too :)

Was a chilly 28* F coming home the other night.... I need better gloves.

Got home around 2.30am this morning after a brisk 50km 120kph run in hellish winds.Nice to have a big heavy gs which shrugs off the elements. One eye on the eclipse while on the motorway and got home in time to watch the moon disappear .Gave up around 4.00am

Took a small spin on the Skunk I purchased in October but pickd up this week. It seems to run OK. The brakes in front don't work irght. Its more of a project than Atiicpated.

Nothing but untapped potential!

Had the annual toy run today here in Adelaide, Australia. Was a big day, pretty sure I spotted myself on the news coverage.

Well, no pics, but took about a five minute run around the neighborhood to get the Seafoam mix throughout the fuel system. Had just planned to run the bike in the garage, but decided to take it out for a run.

Didn't want to take the time to get my new warmer jacket from upstairs, so just grabbed my full mesh. Got fairly brisk quickly.

I stil hate putting the bike away for winter.

out for a ride

out for a ride

Got out with a few buddies for a hamburger run out to Canoe Cove. Rode around the ocean and out to some farmland in Saanich. Sunny and 6 or 7 degrees C. We put on about 80kms. Great to get out on Dec 11th in Canada! Gotta love Victoria BC!!:):)
All four Japanese brands represented too.

I went out for about an hour today, 80 F, dead of winter............I hope to do some real riding during my holiday vacation. I take off between Christmas and New Years every year. The weather should be good and traffic is down a bit.

Was out today for 2 hours, dead of winter, 40 degrees, central mass , Ice on the sides of many of the roads. Still had a great ride on local back roads. Weak link is still the gloves. Need brush guards.

Got out for 60kms taday. Temp around 4 degrees (38) in the sun. My bike is running awesome! You can tell it originally came from Alberta as 4 degrees doesn't bother it at all!:D
Sorry had to go pee.:o

Pretty bad that I can tell where that photo was taken because of the porta-john! That was behind the Farmer's Market on Island View Road. I've been riding everyday as well. Today I fired up the 'ole Hog and used it for my commute. Heated seats are good!:D

You are correct SIR!!:clap::clap:
You got a pic of your bike?
If you are ever looking for anyone to ride with 4 of us went out yesterday. And talk of going out this weekend weather permitting of course.:)

Hi,

No ride for me today, too much rain, wind, and cold. :(

Maybe tomorrow. :)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Got out today to try to find a pilot jet and go see my dad, put 150km's on since the rebuild now and touch wood no issues aside from jetting :)

Hi,

The skies cleared this morning. The roads were still a little wet and it was cold (for So. Cal. - mid 40s), but I was greeted with this view from my driveway as I rode in to work this morning.

The storm that passed through last night brought the snow level down to 3000 feet. The San Gabriel Mountains just north of my house look lovely this time of year.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Rode in to work today. ~30F, but it's a short ride. Wore the vented leather, but jacket liner and sweatshirt underneath. Supposed to get up toward 50 today, so not bad. Warming the next two days as well - might have to ride tomorrow too!

In the 30's but sunny at least. Pic is of the backwater of the local river. Getting cold as you see the ice forming in the foreground on the water's surface, but I had to try out the new gel seat for the Bandit that I scored on ebay!

...and what's left of an old home across the street. You do have to watch out between road patch and ice patches on the shaded routes! The one on the right shoulder is melting ice.
