If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Has the weather been crappy everywhere? We have had 5 straight days of rain.:( And no end in sight. Temp has been mild though at around 8 or 9 degrees. Anyone still riding? But apparently we don't want grocery lists.;)

No, it's bright and sunny here, 36*F, very little ice at the bottom of my driveway. I think I'll go on my first ride of the New Year today just to do it.:D

After riding all week last week in the 20's-40's and seeing that we broke records that had been high's for the past 2 days in over 100 years for the area this week,
Yesterday I called the ONLY GS member in Northern Nevada, besides myself, that actually rides motorcycles rather than just polish them, GSExpress.
Sure enough, he was busy cleaning out the garage as well and was thinking the same thing! :D (Any excuse to ride is a good one. ;) )
We started out for a short 2 hour jaunt. That wasn't going to work for us as usual. LOL! (We ended up covering about 170 miles.)
I hadn't been to a couple of Reservoirs in the area in over 5 or 6 years and he had never been to them before at all.
So, off we went!

Come along for the ride if you like.

Heading west into California.

Hope you enjoyed the ride!

Rode to the station. (N. Ill.) 32F and damp this morning, but free parking is free parking. Also, it's supposed to get into the 50s later.

Eff it!! I just came home early from work and I'm going out for a ride!! About 5 degrees not raining but looks like it could. don't care need an excuse ro wash the bike later anyway.:):)

6? Celsius (about 43? F) here in Toronto today, went for a 2 hr ride on the Cooley.

Bring on global warming, yeah baby!!! ;)

Daniel, that's awesome scenery there... all I did this week was ride to work and back to take advantage of the light traffic and good weather, back to the train next week...

Played hookey from working in my shop for awhile today, video clips are downloading at the moment. I'll post up the video as soon as it's done. It's not very often around here that I can ride on the 6th of January!:D

A little further down the road headed west, I turned around, headed into town and bought gas.

Then, I took the road thru town again, turned left to do the curvy road around the airport and home after filling my tank.

This is still my cheap $20 Flip video camera not properly mounted, so there's a bit of jerky movement to put up with, especially when I hit frost heaves.:D

Hi,

Fun stuff, Dan. Thanks!

Do you have a radio in your helmet? In the fairing?

All the best,

Cliff

The radio's in the fairing. Not too bad of sound is it? Not stellar or newer Oldwing quality, but I can hear it adequately up to about 70 mph. The radio in the fairing of the 1100G is better up to about 80mph.

Goin` for smokes

Goin` for smokes

Well. Had to go for smokes... Yeah Yeah I know I shoulndn`t but I save 25 bucks per carton going down to Lake county Illinois and it`s a 30 mmile round trip so.... Sorry there are no scenic pics but still a nice ride down Sheridan Rd. on the Lake.

No pics. but weather was so nice I got to ride to work and back. And it was wonderful (except being at work). Hadn't been on it for couple of months, started right up, ran a little rough the first couple of miles, but great after that! God I love that bike! terrylee

Took out the B-12 for we finally got a day above freezing. Had to pull out the GSX project to get her out. frsh 2" of snow in my drivewya when i departed this am. Love those Mich. Pro pilot 3s!
Love this weather! 2nd gear is so impressive!!! Suppose to be warm enough the next couple of days so I'll get it out to stretch her legs!

More to come if the rides still happen!

It was exactly FOR this time of year, that I bought the Pilot 3's for the GSX.
Snow tires for street bikes. Got to love it. ;)

No Pics, but got a chance after work to ride for about 30 minutes. Temps about 45F.

Considering it's the 6th of freakin' JANUARY in WISCONSIN, it was great! Earliest first ride of a year I've ever had. :dancing:

This winter really hasn't been much of a winter this year... Ground hasn't frozen solid yet.

Tires for the win! I'd recommend the Mich. Pro pilot 3's to anyone that takes a bike out all year round. I've ridden on snow covered roads a couple times already this year and they are awesome!!! Only thing I'll put on my B-12 from now on!!! Hell the tires have stud mounts... Lol they gotta be good!

The GS's will just have to do with the BT-45's and 5 pounds of less air for the Winter.
Unless they suddenly decide to make Pilot 3's that fit the stock rims. ;)

Hi,

I'm an ex-smoker, but I think it's great that you got out for a ride. I'd probably just go for a lottery ticket. ;)

I just rode to work and back this week. It's been 80?F or better all week! I'd go riding this weekend but there's a lot of NFL playoffs to watch. Go Saints!!!
