A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone here is using a danmoto dashboard?

I have the nano and everything is hooked up and seem to work except the tachometer (red white wire)
i tried it both on the + and - sides of the coil but there's no response.
does it works with induction from the plug wire?

Thanks
Eran

If it's like my Acewell, then you will need to add a resistor inline. The Acewell came with a 10K ohm resistor and reviews I read showed a lot of people with issues getting the tacho to work but the resistor fixed them all. I used it and have had no issues.

On the GS, you will need to use the negative side of the coil as the positive is always on.

I had some back and forth mails with danmoto support and this is the answer i got

normally you can take a signal from the coils, by using a Y wire with 2 diodes and connect it to the ground terminal on both coils.

if you take the signal from only one coil it'll normally show only half the actual RPM.

It's not normal that you have no reading at all.

The diodes prevent a signal exchange between the two coils.

does it make sense?
i connected the wire to both terminals (not at once) but the meter didn't show any reading

What they say makes sense sure, although with a wasted spark setup like the GS' have I wouldn't have thought it necessary...

I suspect something else is awry if you don't get any signal at all though! I'm guessing Google hasn't been your friend as yet? Do they have a support forum or something where other users can provide input?

I'd still be tempted to try a 10K ohm resistor inline myself... cheap enough it's an easy experiment.

Is there an online manual for the gauge or anything we can take a squiz at?

The fact that i don't get any reading is what bothers me, i'm fine with adding a resistor or what ever.
Google didn't provide to many answers, basically people had issues with bouncy display or inaccuracies - that adding a resistor or capacitor fixed.
i asked about it over at DTT and someone replied that the gauge should get double pulses so i'm suppose to get somthing with the Y cable.
i made the cable last night so i will check it asap

Yeah the no reading at all is what gets me too... I would think if it needed a resistor you'd at least get weird results... spiking high RPM readout or something rather than just nothing...

Let us know how you go with the cable (don't forget to get the diodes the right way around)... and if you do have a soft copy of the manual or a link to one then that might help as well...

Let me know how the installation goes. I was thinking about this same set up

Update so far,
Even with the adapter nothing happened, Dan moto support suggested that i lightly brush the rpm wire over a live 12V source, they said it should show something on the screen.
well i tried that and nothing so i assume that means the device is defected.
hopefully i will get a replacement unit from them.

Bugger, but yeah it does sound faulty. Hopefully they'll sort you out.

I had an issue with their Digital cockpit Model #sp00008. Their customer service was great. They replaced my unit completely, no charge.

Easy people to deal with. Good luck.
