If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Thanks postplry. I am not sure where the whit and o/w wire should be connected to. I have the 2 negative wires hooked up to the coils. Not sure about the solid colors plug and where that should be hooked up to.

O/W is the ignition circuit; The Kill switch powers the:
  • coils (1-4 and 2-3)
  • Dyna - s (or ignitor)
  • coil relay mod if you do one.
The white is the negative side of the 1-4 coil.

The solid plug is not stock; dont know what it is.

Thanks for the diagram. I also printed out the pdf document. So the white and b/y wires should be connected to the coils right? I have a connector coming off of the o/w wire to a solder joint with my 2 yellow wires that are then connected to the coils where the white and b/y wire should be connected to. The old PO had done this and I bought a new ignition/wires and coils. I re soldered those yellow wires going to the coils as it was there before. So should I just snip my yellow wires and solder the white, b/y with the red ignition wire to the tops of my coils?? Also my wiring diagram doesn't show me where the solid plug wires should connect to as you are also unsure to where they go. A bit confusing. I was wondering if anyone else could help me out with this. Thanks.

YES

Coils need to be powered from O/W switched power. Doesn't matter if you use blue, red, yellow.

W and B/Y are the negative sides of the coil

to be clear:

1-4 Coil (+) O/W
2-3 Coil (+) O/W
1-4 Coil (-) W
2-3 Coil (-) B/Y

you should be able to see this clearly on the schematics

we need more information or a better picture of the wires that were added for the non stock plug? What colors are they at least (the OE colors only)

Try this- when you turn on ignition, do you you have power (+) to those yellow wires going to coils? If you pull ignition fuse, do you have power to those yellow wires? ( you shouldn't ). Now that same + power has to find its way to ignitor box. Then white and black/yellow wires have to make their way from ignitor box to negative side of coils.
Ignore the solid plug unless it has the above wires in it.

Okay. I think I understand. The 2 o/w wires are connected from the wire harness spliced with the red wire from the ignition to the tops of the coils right? Then the solid black and white wire from the ignition wires connect to the bottom of the coils right? If that is the case then where do I connect my 2 loose wires which are white and b/y? I will do another video this weekend with confirmation and questions. Hope this is right.

Can you determine the wiring from the dyna ignitor to the coils- are they buried in harness or added to it?

I don't have much more to offer here, Tom and Posplayr seem to have you on the right track.
But from the thread title I just thought it kind of interesting that the only two people to respond are from Maine and California.
By the way Tom, where in Maine are you. I'm in Portland.

There is the red wire that splices to the 2 o/w wires connected to the tops of the coils. The diagram also shows the white and black wires being hooked to the bottom of the coils. If the white and b/y wires are supposed to be connected to the bottom of the coils as you guys say, then where are the white and black wires comming from the ignition supposed to hook up to?

to be clear:

O/W is the ignition circuit powered by Kill switch and goes to:
1-4 Coil (+) O/W
2-3 Coil (+) O/W

Your PO rewired to either use part or or completely replace the stock wiring for the negative side of teh coils but you need one way or another to go from the Dyna S B and W wires to the coils (as indicated in the atatched figure)

1-4 Coil (-) W (stock) W(Dyna-s)
2-3 Coil (-) B/Y (stock) B (Dyna-s)

You are going to have to trace from source to destination, this is not just hooking up wire colors.

See the Dyna istruction most information is avaliable for download these days.

I'm in scenic Sebago- but I confess to being a former Massachusetts resident.

Yes, the PO didn't leave you a roadmap, so you have to figure it out. There might be plugs and wires you don't need!
