A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Greetings,

I'm trying to decide what stator to put on my bike. Has anyone used an RMSTATOR part? Or does the collective have stronger feelings for Rick's or Electrosport?

I appreciate your input, experience and expertise.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Guinea pig?

Guinea pig?

who manufactures the stators for PartsnMore?

Mr. 82Shafty,

I don't know who makes the PartsnMore stator, but it's $180 as opposed to $99 for RMStator (free shipping?), $120 for Electrosport, and $140 for Rick's. There's also another guy on ebay who rewinds/rebuilds stators for about $80 plus core return.

I'm just curious if any of you folks have bought a stator from RMStator. Maybe I'll be the guinea pig and write a review. :-s

Thank you for your indulgence,

Oh, what the heck?

Oh, what the heck?

Greetings,

I went ahead and bought a new stator from RMStator. $99 plus $2 insurance, free shipping. They have an ebay store and a website at rmstator.com. (The part is $10 cheaper through the ebay store.) I actually called them on the phone and the fellow on the line was very helpful.

I'll let you know how it works and how long it lasts. I'll be the guinea pig this time. 8-[

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Hi Guys,
I bought one for my Goldwing. Service was great and the gentleman was very nice & polite. Mine got hung up at customs because it's an electrical device coming from Canada. Works fine. I would buy another from him. He also has the R/R's other stuff too.

Sounds good! Hopefully it will be a bang-for-the-buck solution.

Thanks for the feedback Mr. ErnieGS1100EZ. So I shouldn't expect my part in 6 days? Ahhh well, good thing I have a trickle charger.

Mr. Casino Joe, I will review/document my stator experience. I'll be taking pictures for another tutorial.

Thank you for your indulgence,

The Yamaha Vision Forum, Riders Of Vision or ROV, would be VERY interested by hearing how this works out. We've got one member whose XZ550 eats stators like candy (~1000-2500mi)...

I know about Electrosport from the stator papers.
I looked at the rmstator.com site, and well, to me it looks like an electrosport item to me.
So, who is Rick's and the Partsnmore?
I'm afraid I may be trying to find a stator soon myself.
