A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well, I hate to drop a bad line ,but after two problems ,it's deserved.I called APE in January and ordered a cap for my 1100ez,the one on the valve cover for the breather.I sent a PICTURE of mine, because the one in the photo on their website is for a 8 valve, and totally different.Well , $40.00 and two weeks later, they send ,what else , the wrong one!! O.K. I call and talk to Page, the phone answerer , at APE, and they can't figure out what strange bike I must have ....are you kidding? So I send the thing back, with my original broken cap,to match it up.No phone call back from them for two weeks.I call them.It seems they have to custom make this strange part. I tell them just to send my money back.No problem.,but they screw me on the shipping ,after I spent shipping back to them plus shipping my old part.
Fast forward to July 10.I call Page (counterguy again),and tell him I need a clutch hub nut (can't screw this up ,can they???).He tells me after all the problems with the last order,he'll send it for free. How cool.Well here again it's August 1,no nut.I make a call,to Page ,and he tells me they are out of them. They have to make some,or something.Meanwhile, the 1100,has cobwebs on it now,and I,m on the hunt to MTC or Pingle for a nut. What ****es me off the most is ,how about a phone call after two weeks or better, and let me know that they're flaking out,so I can shop somewhere else and make the bike run again.I would have thought APE was more reputable than this.Maybe I didn't spend enough money to rate.I'll give my business to someone else, like MTC.I know they're professionals

I used Ape for adjustable cam sprockets and they were on. Fast shipping and courteous sales rep. To bad they muddled up your orders.

i've never even heard of them... maybe just as well... thanks for the info.

I've ALWAYS had good service from APE. I'm sorry you have problems, I hope they can work it out for you.
