    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

ARHMA Superbike Build - Ti Sprockets/Chain?

Hi Guys,


About mid way through my ARHMA Superbike build and was wondering if anyone has anyone used the titanium sprockets and chain from Sidewinder? Thinking of doing a 520 setup and wondering if it's worth the money. I'm running a 77GS750 - punching out to 850, SV650 rims, brakes and rubber, 43mm SV650 front end and a 81 GS1100 alum swingarm.

Nice bike. All things being equal, a 520 setup on a racebike does save some rotating weight.

ARHMA racebike only, right? In that case, IMHO get a quality 520 race chain from DID/RK/EH and save the money you'd spend on Ti chains/sprockets in favor of getting multiple aluminum rear sprockets so you can change your gearing per track. A quick search shows you can get 3-5 Vortex Al rear sprockets for the cost of one Ti rear sprocket.
 
Yea you are right. I should save the cash. I know I will need a couple of different setups depending on the track. Your gs look rad.
 
Do they allow 43's in AHMRA and it 4.5" the limit for a rear wheel? SV is a 5"

The 99 to 03 models SV650(S) have a 4.5" rear wheel atleast, so no sigar for you Toddk:p
 
Thanks for the info, I thought all the 650's were 5's. Did not want you spend a ton of time on something you would have to change.

You learn somethign new everyday. Are you running a 150 or a 160?

I'll go with another "I thought", I thought 99-03 SV were 41mm tubes? and here's a Did you know, that you can put CBR600F3 internals(tubes and rods) in SV forks and have adjustable dampening?;)

But only preload and rebound, I guess it's much better then having none. Does the cbr forks have compression adjuster at the bottom? Is there any 41mm forks that does have comp. adjustment?
