A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I will need the exact dates and the code for your garage alarm.

My dad will be here holding down the fort he can let you in. Take what ya need and Bear the German Shepard is a real pussy don't worry about him.

Apache trail is cool but gravel. Maybe save that one for the car. Oak creek canyon / Sedona is a must. South mountain - careful for gawkers crossing the center line. Jerome is fun if you get adventurous.

April is a great month to visit the Valley of The Sun, temps can get up to the 90's but it is very dry and not uncomfortable at all, especially if your moving at all. I can ride my bicycle 20 miles in
the middle of the summer and as long as I Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate everything is good.

A great route would be to leave the Phoenix area and head out east on the 60 to Globe an on to Safford, past Safford take a left on the 191 to Alpine. You are up in the mountains and one of the most beautiful areas in the state. Alpine has some great places to stay, Greer is a good spot also. Then back through Show Low and in to Phoenix. That would give you about 600 mi..

This state is very diverse and has lots of opportunities. I also would not miss the Grand Canyon if you haven't already seen it. It always takes my breath away. There is a train from Williams and is loads of fun.

Cheers

Thanks guys looking forward to this one. Looks like a Hardley Davidson is most likely as a rental as the wife is gonna ride shotgun. Found a couple diff rental companies but if anybody has experience I haven't booked it yet.

Come on up 17, jump off on 69, and - after about 30 miles - hang a left on Whiskey Row, Prescott. That Hardly Ableson should fit right in in front of the Bird House Saloon. Then, once you've slaked your thirst, get back on and head out of town on 89, up Mingus Mountain toward Jerome. This is the nicest, curviest road in the state, and Jerome is a really cool old mining town-turned-tourist-trap. Once you've slaked your thirst again (I recommend The Spirit Room), keep heading north to Sedona. You'll be glad you did!

Wednesday afternoon in Toronto it is +6 and raining.
I imagine you have it a bit better.
Now if you rent a pink bike we will definitely need pics.

It's beautiful here. Did a pink jeep tour in Sedona yesterday.

since you are in sedona hit up 89a to jeroma az real nice road through the mountains then pick up hwy 260 (camp verde hwy) all the way to 87, just north of Pine az. take 87 north all the way to winslow and there are some cheap hotels there (quality inn) or you can stay at the very nice la posada hotel. From winslow you can chose to head to the grand canyon or other places. If you have time 191 south of springerville to clifton is a great ride too.

sorry i just saw this post...

We made it to Cave Creek and had more than a few beverages at the Buffalo chip. Great atmosphere and good wings. Today we pick up the bike and are heading to Tombstone.

if you get a chance I like bisbee better then tombstone. Whats you next stop? If you go past Tucson send me a pm if you want to grab beer.

If yo go to Tucson, the Pima Air Museum is really cool. I touched an SR-71 there. They have a B-52 that has a pylon under its wing for launching the X-15. Got to walk through a DC-6 that had been a Presidential plane for Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson. They had a 707, but the DC-6 could land at a lot more airports around the country in the day.

Back in Toronto but we will return. So much to see. We did hit Jerome,Flagstaff,Sedona, tortilla flats,Old Scottsdale and pretty much every bar in between. The ultra performed ok but I would of preferred my Gs and the wife liked the street glide but missed her street triple in the switchbacks. Pics to follow
