A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Good man, and thanks for offering your services, chucksuki. I envision a few wrenching parties in the not so distant future, and will certainly keep you informed.

Air up the tires and bring her to me...I am all in and I can already see some blinged up polished parts..real diamond right there that just needs some TLC!!!!

For future AMF years, may get bigger crowds if AMF were a corresponding day to this....

Yeah, we had to noodle over the date thing for some time... and decided that it would be a good idea to launch AMF the weekend before the BIG party; less "noise", a chance for locals to become educated about Austin's impressive motorcycling history as well as MotoGP, and not have to worry about the 600 lb. gorilla over-shadowing our little festival with assorted "fan fests" and whatnot.

In the end, we were spot on about the date, as COTA is now one of our vendors (they're gonna market the race at AMF) and are offering up a sizable lot of free race passes for us to use at our discretion ;)

Next year may be a different story as we grow the festival. Stay tuned!

You KNOW you're on the short list, Chuck. Aired the tires before we left the venue; we'll see if she's still standing tomorrow.

Awesome that people are getting into this charity effort. Already have had 6 generous folks extending their help and expertise.

(edit: now 7 people in!)

Not all good people ride GS's, but I'd imagine all people who do are good. There are too many things going on this spring in SE Texas to decide what to do. Every weekend has great events in multiple cities. Austin wins out this weekend. Looks like we should have a babysitter even if the first choice backs out. Can't wait to make the ride with my purty lady and finally put some faces to all the help I've gotten over the last year.

Frank...youll need a GSR sign so we can all do a meet up!! Say noonish at the designated area????

Hi Frank.

Thanks for the reminder. I know we talked about going down for this, but work has up and grabbed me for the remainder of the month. Pity too, as there are a few dual sports in the Austin area that I am really interested in.

Have fun!

Frank N...there isnt a designated area that I know of. I was "implying" that we need a GSR sign as a designated member meet up spot.

Aha! Ya know, it would be cool to have a GSR sign up. It might generate more members.

That's a good idea, and will leave the logistics up to youse guys. I'm buried.

News Flash: We'll be on Fox 7 morning show Thursday talking up the festival; i think around 8:45am. Tune in!

Way to go T.V. Star! We can't make it until around 3 or so. Hopefully you guys will still be around. Not sure what you older guys consider late.

The inaugural event is in the books. I started a thread in the off topic section with the pics that I took.

Austin Moto Fest was an astounding success. Now working on AMF '14 (AMF II... Return of... Beyond...??) as we experienced amazing media coverage and have to leverage for next year's sponsorship while the news is hot.

Took a small army of dedicated folks to make a blue-sky dream a low-budget reality, and appreciate the GSR members who supported and attended our inaugural festival. Apologies for not being able to visit more with y'all; was tied to a lively 2-way radio and snubbing potential fires all day. Heck, didn't even have a chance to ride a Duc

Good to see that a few GSs were there to represent. I may even ride mine to AMF next year... yeah, right.

Damned good shot of the backflip dismount Frank...I was watching but didnt have my camera at the ready. Crowd got a helll of a kick out of that guy.

And he pegged the landing as good as Mary Lou Rettan ever did!!!!

Next year I'm going to hire someone to be me so I can enjoy all AMF has to offer! At least there were a few perks...
