Ok guys, I'm frustrated. I finally sat down to fix my headlight, and I couldn't fix it. Here's the problem.
My headlight went out on my 1980 GS550. I bought a new one that I didn't realize was a 100/55W (instead of the 50/55W I took out). But I plugged in the new one, and it doesn't work. I plug in the old one, and it doesn't work.
So I took out my multimeter (cheap chinese knockoff one) and the voltage reading I got across black/yellow and black/white was either steady 11v or jumping all over the place.
That's all the info I can think of to tell you to help me. But I really want to ride (it's finally nice outside), so if you could help me, I'd love it.
I hope I can get to the bottom of this, I feel like I'm ready to throw in the towel and get a newer bike.
Thanks guys.
Phill
