Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hey guys. As the thread title says. I'm looking for a pair of black bar end mirrors and a new set of grips. They will both be installed when I do the gs650g front end swap on my 82 gs750t.. I really don't want to spend 100$ on the mirrors but I have the feeling I should stay away from the 19$ eBay Hong Kong ones. Dimecitycycles has a great assortment and the quality seems alright. Is anybody running a pair from the DCC guys?

As far as grips...there are endless options really and I'm at a lose..Any direction would help. I want a firm feel, not too comfort based(mushy jelly feel) . I saw biltwell has a Kung fu grip?

Thanks for your time peeps
Andrew

Have a look at Sean Ken mirrors, have a set on my 85 750EF. Half the cost of a Napoleon bar end.Have a set of gel Pro-Grip's on that bike to,I like them:cool:

Not this exact same seller but, these are the ones I use.

I've tried all kinds of grips but, I always seem to come back to the cheapie foam grips, in my opinion, they're more comfortable than the more expensive ones. The grips in the picture of my bike are Pro Grips, they were nice but, like I said, I keep coming back to the foamies.

I just installed a pair of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-8-Black-M...Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d498f581a&vxp=mtr I got from Hong Kong and so far they are solid.

It took some tweaking to get them installed since the hardware they use doesn't want to expand the collars on the inside unless you get it positioned just right and maybe add a couple of star washers, but now that they are on the bike and tightened down they are rock solid and crystal clear. I used my stock grips, the left one already had a hole and the right one I cut the rubber with an xacto knife, drilled the plastic on the throttle control and used a dremel with a sanding wheel to finish it off.

Aside from the installation challenge the only other drawback is that you need 3 different size hex keys to tighten them down. I don't know if they even need to be tightened regularly since I have only had them on for a couple of weeks but I threw all 3 sizes hex keys in my tool kit just in case.

Also should note that the nice thing about these is that they can fold in when you need them to. A pretty handy feature for something that hangs off the end of the bars.

Grips are a personal preference and everybody has their favorites, these are mine, made by Avon

Thanks for identifying those grips, wacky. They came with my third-hand 1100EZ, but I've been planning on replacing them with Grab-On foam, which was popular back in my day (when my bike was built).

I also used the Grab-On foam on my '73 Z1, whose originals would vibrate my thumbs to numbness after an hour at 80+.
