A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Me too. I've had the same one on the left side since '85, very high quality.

Gonna watch ebay for a while before I break down and buy retail.

I appreciate all the input.

Of course.
(and I though you guys were sick of me posting more pics)

Wow...I hadn't seen pictures of your 1000 in a while and man, that's hawt! Nice work!

Another great idea is to pick up a couple small stick-on convex mirrors and put them on your bike mirrors. You can get them at most auto parts stores for just a few bucks. They do a great job of minimizing your blind spots.

What do I have to do to get noticed around here, set myself on fire and flap my arms like a chicken?* :-s

(Thank you, Adam)

Jeez man. You know most of us drool whenever we see your bike! BOM, Aug. For sure!

I dunno, you seem to get noticed pretty well when you go around late at night knocking on strangers' motel rooms...................:-D

I'm not sure I like the look of the bar end mirrors turned down...I'm looking around for pictures now to see what others have done. I'm on the fence about ordering four of these ($120 total)...one for the GS and one for the CB.

I'll probably throw down...since the superbike or clubmans limit the view with standard mirrors.

im gonna get mine in the mail here any day now.. i will post pics as soon as i do!

I won a pair of Napoleons (the black ones) on ebay last nite.
Hope the guy is a quick shipper.8-[

You're gonna like em.
One tip: You may have to move your clutch (and or) brake levers in a bit to clear the mirrors.
The ends of the levers on mine don't touch the mirror brackets... but the grips are shorter and the levers are not stock.

bar end are a very nice touch to a custom bike, but my wife has a cow everytime something shows up in the mail or she finds out that i've been to the bike shop. so, i just made my own. 8-[it kinda cheesy but i made it from dimond plate and painted it gloss black. stuck a 3inch mirror on it and wolla bar mirror for cheap. the dimond plate was a mud flap from my dads old ugly truck and the mirror itself came from the autoparts store2-3 dollars i think?\\:D/ i'll have to throw a pic up as soon as i take some.

Be interested to see your diamond plate creation.

I get away with ebay most times .. \\:D/

Went on a group ride today (me and 20 harleys/shadows) would like to have had those bar ends already.
