I am going to race a full points season this year at Bradenton they are running 2 classes a pro et and street et. I be starting out in street et as my pro et bike is not ready yet but I have always preferred street et anyway. the first points race is Jan 4th next Saturday.
I did so good at the Man Cup races in street et with my 84 GS1100 that I put an airshifter and shift light on it for this season to help me be even better. I also did some fine tuning to it to make it run quicker. I set the cam timing to 106/108 and ignition timing to 34 deg. and put a bigger main jet in it. I did a couple other little things I do too. could not believe how far off the cam and ignition timing was off

already??

already??

I bet the bike sounds and revvs much better !! Do they run street ET and pro bike far enough apart to do both?

I am a little jealous you are getting started while there is 8" of ice on our lakes.

ROAD TRIP! MAN CUP!! only 6 or 7 weeks - am I right? My big engine is going together now -and I still need a smaller truck to travel more this season.

that is cool!! launch , shift , and filler all in 1!!

Belucci should be saving money for a late winter SGMP trip, not swimming in FL :!::mad:

but you deserve a tropical trip for letting me ice stud up the WR250 tires :dancing:

I hope so.
A few of the bike racers run 2 classes. I am used to running two classes I have even run 3 classes before pro et, street et, and super gas in the past but it is a lot easier if you do it on the same bike and my pro et bike is a self starting. In Miami Hollywood one year I won street et and runner up in pro et at a dragbike national. Most of the time I lose early in one class or the other. I think running 2 classes increases your chances of winning and gives you more seat time. With the rules now I can't run a slider in street et and a 2 step and delay box with a slider is the best way to go for a pro et bike

After doing the fine tuning it is accelerating much harder now the ignition timing was way off 1n4 was at 38* 2n3 was at 44* the cams were at 109/108 so it wasn't even close in my book at least the valves were right. I wanted to see how it run the way I got it. It ran a best of 10.80 @ 124mph. It needs some good cams and a ported head and that is in the future but not till next year. I will ride it like it is now and what ever it runs it runs. I would like to see some low to mid 10's though.

Exoticycle Spring Cup at SGMP – April 11-13, 2014
Yep I will be there.
I was look at the Man Cup schedule and I might be able to make the ones in Georgia

Only in Florida we got rained out.
I did get a time run it went a 10.76 at 120 mph. Right off the trailer. It has more in it the cross wind was bad and the motor was cold it was cold out. I got a pocket full of excuses. It will run better. The mph was way down I blame the cross wind. But the old GS won't be going back until the next Man Cup race because Bradenton is not going to run a street class this year they only had 8 street bikes. So I have 2 weeks to get my pro et bike ready and I won't be missing a points race.

at least you did not break anything. - you have plenty of time -- just dig in and get it done.

Nice light! Only way to do better is perfect! 60 looks a little slow. Do you not have a lock up or is your total weight just heavy? Don't mean that in a bad way, just asking. Ray.

0.001 is fantastic!

I think 60 foot times should just be repeatable, when the clutch starts to go away you'll see it - in the time slip.

The 16 mph increase (1/8~1/4) shows me more tuning is needed. jetting and gear. or maybe it was just the wind. ( slipping clutch? )

can't really tell with only 1 pass.

Yea the 60' footer is slow but I am old. Na I can do better. When ever I really concentrate on the light my 60' footer suffers. the bottom end is all welded up trannys done and a good basket with stock clutch and springs with a stock head and cams the pistons are 1175 pistons. 39mm FCR carbs and the Harris exhaust. It needs some more tuning with them big carbs before it is right or as close as I can get it until I get the head done. I am still trying to get used to the bike. I really haven't even ridden it much.
She sure is a pretty bike though

I am in 1st place in points in pro et with my street bike. I had a good day at the track today this was my last pass of the night

Oh I forgot to mention I could not get my Pro et bike ready in time I need a low profile oil pan for the oil/air cooled gixer 1100 so I did this to my street bike. can ya see what I did?

you strapped the front....

yes I do but that's not it
I went early to test with the slider clutch and set it up I ended up getting a 10.62 @124 and I think I can get it a little lower with some more testing. I didn't want to mess with it once we started the program.

18 package - great job , that is hard to get under.. Your opponent broke out trying even though you had it from the start.

3200 stall wow do you use MTC springs or do you have a different combo?
