A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

before and after polish

Got my emblems today from Boulevard (3 weeks). Wondering if anyone here has put them on before. The back of them emblem that sticks against the cover of engine has 3M adhesive tape. My question...is that enough or should I be adding some type of glue as well?
Thanks guys,
Trevor

believe me, once they are on there, they are on for good. just make sure the cover is spotless clean. use brake cleaner or similar to remove any grease or residues.

make sure you get it on right first time!!!!

Lol...thanks! Good to know that I don't need to put any "goop" on them. I will make sure the covers are spotless. And the emblems and covers have a convenient little "cut" too help you line them up.:)

yep, the amount of people i have heard of who didnt realise that little cut out was there. needless to say, they had to buy another new emblem!

Mine has been on for 32 years. Had to replace the stator cover and add a new TSCC emblem.

Rob (AZR) helped me put in new progressive springs last night, not quite have them right yet but we are working on it (thanks for your help Rob:)). There were a few things that I wanted to get done before the nice weather hits. I got my seat recoverd, had some engine covers polished, forks polished, sanded and painted my front dics, cleaned up my header and pipe and had header bolts and brake bolts plated.
Here is how it looks now....very happy.:D Now just have to finnish the springs and she is ready for the summer!

He doesn't like to get the bottom of the centerstand, that oil level appears to be a little on the low side from what I can tell, and what's with the nylon tie straps on the front forks?

Actually Trevor, it's absolutely stunning! Bet you can't wait to get out there for a ride and get a little road grime on it!

I got to get out and "dust' mine off, they're about due for their annual bath. Thanks for the inspiration.

It's called CENTREstand, lol.. and you are right, guess I will have to do that now.:p Oil level is good, just changed it and the zap straps were still on from measuring slag for the new springs, just don't have it right yet. :)

you bike looks excellent man :)
im currently in a process of doing the same thing to my, except im doing it myself :p (also replacing some leaky seals while at it) here is a picture of one of my covers, in process, that has at least one more trip to a finer buffing wheel. my question is, is there a clear coat i can spray over this or should i just use wax?
ps. the right hand (clutch cover) was done a few years back

it appears that i can only attach one picture at a time. medium buffing wheel.
