A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Placed an order on 9/3. Emailed them last week to see when the order was going to ship as they charged the credit card on 9/9. Got a response right away that the order should ship on the 16th/17th. Here it is 9/20 and they are no longer responding to email and the order still hasn't shipped. Am I out my $200 or are they normally very slow at shipping?

Got my stuff inn about 10 working days..but if somethings back ordered they probably are holding the rest up waiting for it to complete your order. This doesn't excuse not explaining the situation to you or at least answer the email questions.

Pick up the phone and cal them.

I have had two largish orders with them and had no problems.

I placed an order with them early this week (Sunday night?), got the e-mail today that it was being readied for shipment.

.

Oh yeah? Well, I placed an order on Wednesday evening and got the shipping notification today. Actually, that's awfully quick. I must have just snuck in on this order cycle. Which is nice, because I'll be glad to have a spare clutch cable on my long ride next weekend (TN, with CUJM).

Someone somewhere told us that orders dealers place with Suzuki for parts are placed all at once after some minimum order size has been met. I would have thought that an order placed on the 3rd would have some activity by now. I agree with Jeep. Call them and see what happened.

Yeah, some of us know how much you enjoy changing a clutch cable in a gravel parking lot.

With a bunch of Goldwingers waiting on you (OK, us). :-\\\

Thanks all! I called this afternoon and one item is on backorder. They're going to ship the rest of the order out and ship the backorder item when it arrives. They also apologized about being unresponsive to the email.

Ordered my parts a week and a half ago and received them today. Most were sent UPS ground on Tuesday but one was sent out Wednesday by UPS Second Day Air...who ever took over for Ashley (I think his name is Brent but not sure) has done a helluva job

I've never had G&S or Boulevard respond to a single one of my emails, but they were always very friendly and helpful over the phone when I gave up and called instead. I've also read that both of these places give priority to orders placed over the phone.

If you're like me and prefer email, Z1 is the way to go. Send them your part numbers and they'll send back a paypal invoice.

I'm getting a little disgusted with Boulevard Suzuki. They charged my card on 9/9 and I'm still waiting for shipment. Even if they don't have all the stuff yet, they could do a partial shipment since they've already taken my money.

This is my first order with them and it'll probably be my last.

I totally get the frustration, but did you pay for two shipments? Some places will split a shipment sometimes, if it wouldn't change the shipping cost, or if they screwed up. Others have limitations in their software that won't let them deviate from a placed order other than to cancel it.

Call them, and ask them, why the partial shipment has not been shipped as they clearly told you they would....

I made an order in August, and picked it up after waiting 7 weeks (!) for it. They are great to talk to on the phone, but nobody made any effort to respond to emails, even with the order number in the subject line.

The official explanation was a number of the items in my large (not price, but 36 items) order were backordered. When they finally got most of them in (had arrived the day I called ;) ) one gasket was still missing. I had to wait another 2 weeks for that to come in, but they did give me the option of having the rest of it shipped out right away. I declined because I did not want to make the trip across the border twice.

The more troubling thing is that the invoice I received in the shipment looked very different than what I had ordered, in that 1/2 dozen items were not listed, some of the parts numbers were different that what I had ordered, one set of crush washers/gaskets, were unidentified (no part number), and the total was $60 less than what I had paid through Paypal. To top it off, the box was absolutely mangled to the point where some of the smaller plastic baggies could have slipped out, and I had to spend a couple of hours trying to figure out what had happened with the pricing between me ordering and them shipping.

As far as I could tell, everything was shipped, and once I identified the "missing" items that were not included on the invoice, the price paid originally matched up.

You're making me worried. I'm tempted to drive to Boulevard and find out what's going on. They're about 100 miles from where I live.

Just give them a call. They're really rather good when you get them on the phone.

I'm not believing it so far. They have my money and don't even have the courtesy to do the partial shipment they promised on Friday.

I have ordered from Brent at Boulevard 10+ times in the last 6 months, never a problem, always got what I needed, and when there was an opps they fixed it promptly.
They have partial shipped before and not hit me with additional shipping on the following order, but I have spent a few bucks with them so maybe they treat me better than someone who orders one small order per year.

You have nothing to worry about, but if you want real fast turn around find a dealer with the items in stock and order your parts there.
Boulevard does not stock any older GS stuff, it's all ordered from Suzuki who source it from their warehouses.
