A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

hey guys the breather port in my airbox is clogged with something from the p.o just found it so i know the breather is not getting any air .. what will it do if it stays clogged up? can i just put a pod filter on it? it seems to be filled with something hard as hell .tryed to dig it out but i cant get it all the way out

Hi,

If it's really plugged up tightly there is a chance that your engine could become over-pressurized and start squirting oil from the seams. It shouldn't be difficult to unclog the breather input on the airbox. Can you punch it out with a screwdriver? Have you taken out the filter to look inside the airbox?

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

i tryed to dig it out but its hard like like a rock is there anything i can do or do i need to keep the hose off of it

Hi,

I'd try to drill it out if it's that hard. Or maybe some CLR would work to dissolve it. What is it? Rust? Sediment? Improperly installed air filter cage? Breather filters can be found all over at places like J.C. Whitney and Dennis Kirk.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

The PO probably plugged it with epoxy thinking it was "leaking" oil. Drill the plug out of it. You said your engine had an oil leak? It's probably overpressurized. That can harm your piston rings too.

I've seen a few of these clogged with rust. On metal airboxes, of course.

And yes, it's important.
