A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

There are a lot of fabricators on here. Have any of you thought of doing it? If I half way knew how to weld, I would atleast make an attempt at it, so it could be critiqued. I already figured it would need to be more sturdy, redo the bottom side of the tank, instead of the top frame going straight down the middle, it would need to loop out. . . The more I think about it, it would become a deep well of a money pit . . .But it was just a thought . . .

Wouldn't it be easier (and cheaper) to weld on some tabs to adapt GS bodywork to the 'Busa frame? :-k

.

umm.. if i had money or skills I think I'd rather do it the other way round. Picture it. Hairy aluminum toxic gs thou lumpin a shiny stock 'booser. Loveley

I can't be alone in that, shirley?

prolly be cheaper, not sure how much easier cutting up body parts will be. . . but will be waaay more obvious, concidering most guys now don't even know what a gs motor is supposed to look like, unless they have been involved with them. . .

Either way, not sure what all is involved either way. . . .

Then you would have a slow Busa by Busa standards.

busa mtr in a stk gs? where is the radiator going? im sure youll need a oil cooler, and the handling would suck

Yes a Busa motor in a GS frame... If able to get the motor in the frame, oil cooler and radiator will be able to figure out. . . As far as handling goes, will be using traditional choices for drag racing applications. Because thats what the bike will be used for. . . .

He runs the regular Saturday Points program on a GSXR for a couple years now. He built the bike to try and keep up with a couple of us running in the low to mid 9's. His GSXR is custom and pretty heavily modified also.
