In this thread http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=87495 there is a link to Real Gaskets. http://realgaskets.com/files/motorcycle.htm#suzuki
Real gaskets have Suzuki cam cover gaskets and they note how many holes. My 1981 GS1000G cam cover has 19 holes and I can't get them and have to cut them myself. However, Real Gaskets have a 19 hole gasket for a 1984 GS1100 gasket. It looks like mine.
It seems my bike might have a ring-in cam cover, except I have the two valve motor and I thought the 1100 was a four valve motor. This means the heads are different therefore the cam covers are different. Aren't they?
Was there a 19 hole GS1000 head?
Is the GS1100 a two valve motor?
Does this count for the Imponderables book?
Kim is having a confusing day. 8-[
